Hello fellow Fanpoppers, hollistergurl here.
Now, the शीर्षक gives आप some clue to what I'm gonna talk about:
A possible crossover from Riordan.
Which two series am I talking about?
For those of आप who have read The Serpent's Shadow [final book in The Kane Chronicles trilogy], आप may have a clue of what I'm talking about.
Now, before I go onto my analysis, just a warning: if आप haven't read this other epic series from Riordan, The Kane Chronicles, I'm providing आप with some EPIC spoilers.
Well, they don't really give the story away, but और of a foreshadow of what is to come...
Anyways, I know this is the हीरोस of Olympus club; I am fully aware of that, as I see the name of it right on my computer screen.
But, this लेख DOES contain हीरोस of Olympus material; it may focus on some context in The Serpent's Shadow, but I assure you, this is definitely something to talk about.
Now, onto my article:
So, there have been some hints to a possible crossover... in all 3 books.
Now, since I don't want to give the story away, and this is the हीरोस of Olympus club, I'll only give आप guys the context.
Amos's brow furrowed as he looked across at the Empire State Building. "Manhattan has other problems. Other gods. It's best we stay separate." pg. 52, The Red Pyramid
Now, that context just mentioned the Greeks of Camp Half-Blood, the gods of Olympus in the Empire State Building... it was only a mention, nothing to worry about, correct? It just sent a flare in your brains, something like,
OMG RICK JUST MENTIONED PERCY :DD
Yes, because we all प्यार our beloved hero.
Onto the सेकंड book, The सिंहासन of Fire.
This one didn't mention any Greeks-- not that I remember.
However, it did have Romans... and the chapter शीर्षक for this was "Romans are Evil."
It wasn't that big of a deal, though: the final book, is, however.
Ah, here we are, the third book, The Serpent's Shadow. This certainly contained some old friends.
Sadie and the other magicians that she and Carter train go to a Brooklyn school-- she calls it BAG.
And guess who's there...
LACY AND DREW! Our fellow Aphrodite campers.
Lacy had warned me about Drew the first दिन of school. Apparently the two of them had gone to some summer camp together-- blah, blah, I didn't really listen to the details-- and Drew had been just as much of a tyrant there. pg. 83, The Serpent's Shadow.
Okay, onto the other piece of info.
There's this magician या whatever, Setne, and he's an important part of the book [I won't reveal the end to you, how he's important].
Anyways, he says he hates Greeks.
-.-
Setne sneered. "Stupid Greeks. Moving in on our territory. Taking over our gods. I'm telling you, I got no प्यार for those guys." pg. 224, The Serpent's Shadow.
Next, Sadie having a conversation with her mother...
"Probably," She admitted. "But आप know what to do. Keep teaching the path of the gods. Bring the House of Life back to its former glory. आप and Carter and Amos will make Egyptian magic stronger than ever. And that's good... because your challenges are not over."
"Setne?" I guessed.
"Yes, him," Mum said. "But there are other challenges as well. I haven't completely लॉस्ट the gift of prophecy, even in death. I see murky visions of other gods and rival magic."
That REALLY didn't sound good.
"What do आप mean?" I asked. "What OTHER gods?"
"I don't know, Sadie. But Egypt has always faced challenges from outside-- magicians from elsewhere, even gods from elsewhere. Just be vigilant." pg. 390, The Serpent's Shadow.
Hold on... it's not over yet.
In the meantime, there are still hotspots of of evil magic and demon activity all over the world that we have to take care of. We've even got reports of unexplainable magic as close as Long Island. Probably have to check that out. pg. 401, The Serpent's Shadow [Last page].
Well... there आप have it.
Magic from Long Island-- guess what important place lies there?
Yes, Camp Half-Blood.
Foreshadowing... And TONS of it. Riordan would NOT just let that this series go to rest, since one of the main characters' enemies escaped.
So, I honestly feel that there will be this crossover between the two series-- possibly, the Greeks/Romans fighting the Egyptians... Just like old times.
History repeats itself, after all.
On that happy thought, we'll probably have to wait another साल before RR releases some evidence of a possible sequel series...
And hopefully our हीरोस from Percy Jackson will be back, या else I'll miss Leo's tofu burgers and Percy escaping death all the time.
Only about 4 और months until the MoA! :D
Leave your टिप्पणियाँ below, and tell me what आप think of a possible follow-up to these series!
*EDIT*
Okay, I knew I was forgetting something from the सेकंड book, The सिंहासन of Fire! Thank आप to @Reyna4ever25 for reminding me!
Here is the excerpt, I'm too lazy to find the actual page, so sorry bout that.
He कहा Manhattan had other problems—whatever that meant. And sometimes when I looked across the water, I could swear I was seeing things. Sadie laughed about it, but once I thought I saw a flying horse. Probably just the mansion’s magic barriers
causing optical illusions, but still, it was weird.
Blackjack, possibly? :D
**SECOND EDIT**
Wow, I fail at remembering details. Thanks to pjlover447 for reminding me of this bit from the first book, The Red Pyramid.
Thoth looked offended. “In Ancient Egyptian, it’s a perfectly fine name. The Greeks called me Thoth. Then later they confused me with their god Hermes. Even had the nerve to rename my sacred city Hermopolis, though we’re nothing alike. Believe me, if you’ve ever met Hermes—”
Hm, Thoth's jealous... *cough* gods could fight? *cough*
