Nobody helps you from the goodness of their demonic heart!
yes, i'm still suffering from season 4 induced rage ;P sorry Sam girls. I still love me some Sammy <3 just not right now ;)
Anywhoo I choose this because he was not nice to Dean going behind his back and drinking demon blood instead of asking Dean for help, thats what hes there for but I can kinda see why he didnt cos I can bet Dean would have flipped out.
Sam was a easy target from the beginning, Donna. In a way, Sam became like Bela, thinking about himself in s4 and following the motto "The end justifies the means" not caring about how his actions would affect the people around him but he was focused on his goal.
I can't remember who said it but after you've seeked revenge and completed the task, what remains is an empty shell.
I agree with duckey94!
Angels told him to stop and he didn´t!
Vindictive, seriously? Didn't we all seen Dean and John being the EXACTLY same way about Yellow Eyed Demon? How many times did Sam told Dean that maybe they should stop trying hunting YED?
And Dean didn't want to, because the damn thing had killed his mother. So i think it's only natural that Sam feels the same way about Lilith, she killed his brother!
And what if he didn't stop? He tried to stop, but i can see how he didn't do it. He was killing demons with his power, and he saved Castiel and Dean once because of that power. He never thought he would do bad with it.
So i guess his flaw is being gullible, even tho that isn't exactly a flaw. It's just people taking advantage of him.
I'm not saying Sam is perfect, he's far way from being that.
But i don't think it's right people "bashing" him when he's just being like Dean was in season 1. =/
the two of them have flaws and all we are saying here is that no one's perfect, they're only humans..
we're just point out what doesn't make 'em perfect..that's the thing i love about SPN, they're not creating characters with ideal personality, they just show us people just need to find a way in making a peace with themselves and just being happy the way they are which is not, again, perfect :)
Sorry if it seemed like. =/ But i'm not. I was just defending him.
It's just he got a lot of hate for what he did and i don't get it. Because he was just trying to help. Maybe not in the best way, but he was.
And yes, i agree. Having so many flaws is what make them perfect ;)
Thank God they are not vampires. LMAO
*i'm so slooow sometimes*
Sam and Dean killing the Cullens? xD
I would be happy if they just killed Paris Hilton =P
But he's got a real darkside to him and he seems to think it's okay to sacrifice an innocent person in the name of stopping evil. Only problem is sacrificing a good person makes you near enough evil in my book.
Whenever anyone even hints that he's a freak he gets angry because it's an insult. He's extremely sensitive to it. It's how Lilith pushed him over the edge into killing her. Once he sets his mind to something, although doubts occasionally creep in, in the end he thinks he knows best. He's reckless and impulsive because he thinks he can handle anything that might happen. Pride is even at the root of his gullibility. He knows he's smart, he assumes he's thought of all the angles, therefore how could anyone deceive him? And his pride demands that he seek vengeance on those who've wronged him. Perfect example; going after Lilith even though Dean was back from Hell. Part of his drive to kill her was fueled by saving the world, part of it by a lust for revenge. He admits as much in When the Levee Breaks. His pride could not allow her to get away with it.
@Cas_Cat, err.. how many times did Sam say that they shouldn't hunt YED? In the Pilot he didn't want to follow John's crusade because he didn't even remember their Mom but as soon as YED killed Jessica he was totally on board for the YED hunt. I honestly can't remember a time after that that he told Dean they should stop. If you could cite a particular episode, I'd love to look it up. As I recall it, in Season 1 Sam was driven to find John and thereby find answers as to what killed Jess and thereby destroy her killer.
And you're so right, Fanfly. He reminds me of Lucifer a lot, or how I believe Lucifer to be, everything he says is logical, of course, but flawed and so coated in pride that it twists the real purpose of their quest.
His need for revenge is based on: "How dare you mess with me? My normal life? You think you're bad, I'll show you who's bad!". Not for Jess, or his mother, or his dad, or Dean- which he tells himself. Even Pride in "The Magnificent Seven" is the one to want to take him on.
It may sound like bashing, but it's because it is meant to come out like that, I'm not Dean, and I don't put my favourites on a pedestal, also, Sam's flaws are an essential part of his character and the biggest reason we have this awesomely angsty show to watch. His guilt (for being the "chosen one") vs his pride (in being the "chosen one") :D
I really hope he finally learns something from four years of self-pity and self-righteousness.
In my honest, personal opinion.
And you're also right that these characters wouldn't be half as interesting if they didn't have such magnificent flaws! I have to say, as angry as Sam makes me sometimes, I've loved him as a character in S4 more than ever before.
@spikes_girl-- *blush* lol
