i do believe they were being watched by angels..i'm pretty sure God had a plan for dean since he was born, so He couldn't just leave him and sammy

This was a pretty tough one to decide on, but fanfly makes an excellent point! I'm sure, though, that Sam would have preferred to NOT be infected with demon blood - they didn't do much for him. Anyway...yes, I think they are always watching but can only interfere under some very unusual or dire circumstances - such as God wanting Dean rescued from Hell!
