Hello! If you don't know who I am, I'll jsut start by introducing myself. I'm the girl who sits hunched over a drawing tablet all day coming up with random character designs and countless storylines! Some things I can help with:
CHARACTER NAMES - Ah, yes, probably the most important aspect of creating a character. A name can be a drop-dead giveaway for talents, abilities, personalities -- or not!
CHARACTER DESIGNS - What good is designing a character if you don't know what they look like? Outfits for a character are always a great choice as long as they meet a few guidlines; they should always have something to do with the character's personality, add to their realism, and help them fill the role that they play in the wonderful society that we call imagination!
CHARACTER POWERS/ABILITIES - The fruit of the tree for creating a successful character. Now, this doesn't mean I'm telling you that your characters should be able to blow up a 30,000 square mile meteor hurtling towards Earth or make every man she meets fall helplessly and endlessly in love with her, but they do make for a more interesting character as long as they don't make the character seem too powerful.
CHARACTER BACKSTORIES/PASTS - The basic backbone of a character. Now let's get one thing straight; NOT EVERY CHARACTER HAS TO HAVE A MYSTERIOUS OR HORRIFYING PAST. An interesting character doesn't have to wander the world, searching to avenge their brutally murdered parents who were killed when the character was only three years old. They can be as simple as meeting a best friend, falling in love, the small things in life that can be achieved by almost everyone; THAT is the kind of thing that makes characters easy to relate to!
CHARACTER ROLLS - Alright, basically, not every girl character has to be a beautiful princess waiting for her knight in shining armor or the dark demon banished to the underworld. Another note:
SUCCESSFUL CHARACTERS AREN'T CHARACTERS THAT ARE JUST ENTERED INTO AN EXISTING STORYLINE. If you're writing a completly made-up, 100% original story with original characters and original storylines, that's okay. All I'm saying is that no one likes it when someone tries to make their character "G.U.N. project #13" or "Sonic the Hedgehog's True Love". This shows that character is just yearning for too much attention, which is too dull, repetitive, and just downright bizarre.
If I DO take your request, please note:
If you keep bugging me about "When's the picture gonna be done?" or "Are you almsot done with the picture?", chances are, I will stop right then and there and NEVER finish the picture. Drawing requests takes time, and if you're not willing to spare some patience and wait for a drawing, then maybe you should draw it yourself. Another thing:
I will send you notifications of the progress and completion of the picture. You don't have to be all in my buisiness, I will be sure to keep you informed!
FINAL NOTE: Even if you don't ask me for requests, you should still follow these guidlines and rules. People who take requests do not like to be rushed, and that just makes for a picture that hasn't lived up to it's full potential. Send me a PM or comment on this forum if you want a request done!
