You have sex when you're ready to have sex.

There is no age that makes it weird to be a virgin.

I agree Bdavisbrookeme. There isn't and SHOULDN'T be an age to feel weird about being a virgin. It's a person's choice when they want to have sex and not to have sex.

Especially for people who are saving themselves for marriage. Some people don't get married until their thirties or forties, and that's their choice, as far as I'm concerned, and I respect, even admire, that commitment.

Yeah, I think so too. Sometimes it's not even a matter of choice - you just don't find the right person to give your virginity to. Some people find them earlier, some later.

Not to mention people who simply choose to lead a celibate life all together.

Well for a number of reasons I am and I am 36 yes I know seems a bit old but thats just how life has gone. So its just one of those things.

If the person isn't ready then that's all it is to it.

Agreed, nowadays there seems to be a huge stigma on being a virgin, holy cow I've heard of 13 year olds loosing their virginity simply because they were worried about being "left out."
Honestly I don't think it's that important, if your not ready, your not ready, or your like me who is looking for the person you think is right to finally give it up. :)

I think it's strange when someone 21 or older is still a virgin. But just because I think it's strange doesn't mean I judge them or pressure them at all. It just makes me curious, what are the reasons behind it.

I agree with the comment above I think it's a little strange being over 21 and still a virgin. But I wouldn't judge a person for it it's his/her decision. I mean today being a virgin at even 15-16 you get a lot of negative comments for it and people looking down on you, I would know I've been there.

Don't get me wrong, but I think it's a bit strange to think of it as strange at all. I mean, some people just ARE like that and don't have their first boyfriend/girlfriend at, I don't know, 25.

I don't think being a virgin is anything to be ashamed of and you should never feel pressured to have sex just because of your age. I didn't lose my virginity until I was 21, and some of my friends used to tease me about it but it didn't bother me because it was all in good fun and it was my choice not to have sex with someone I didn't love.

I'd think it's strange but in reality it's nothing to be ashamed about. If my boyfriend were a virgin when I met him and he's like around my age, 28, okay, I'd think it would be strange but I wouldn't think 'what a loser'. You lose your virginity when your ready.

I echo Jillywinkles^ ~21-25 but I would not assume bad things, I would just wonder, but I know there can be all sorts of reasons. I am in no position to judge. With STDS & all the possible consequences, I think it is wise to be careful, and if that means waiting longer to make wiser or more positive choices then I would take "strange" anyday. People judge regardless anyway yet they do not have to live in that person's skin.

Don't feel pressured into having sex. Just do what you and your partner makes you happy and screw what everyone else thinks
