The love Snape showed for lily was strong and he was able to show remorse after he had realised what he had done. I think his death was humilating because he should of died a hero because that is what he was.I have always loved snape even when he killed dumbledore because i truly believed there was just something about him that still made him good.
The way he died cannot be decided by us because the amazing rowling holds that position...He will always be my fave character ILY XXX

Snape was too smart to die the way JK wrote it. Sorry, but fuck Lily. Snape should have lived to run away with Hermione after the Final Battle, and own their own Apothecary shop somewhere else in the world. Ron is too dumb for Hermione anyway.

I agree with half of what you said, xept that, if Hermione was so damn smart how come she downed Severus potions book? I think besides Severus writing in it dark spells, I wonder if she wasn't a bit jealous of Harry's sudden success in potions. She knew the potions riddle was written by Severus, however she didn't know who the Half blood Prince was. So, with all her 'smarts' she was pretty daft. But I do agree that Ron is to dumb for Hermione too, I think Harry and Hermione should have hooked up.

@Snapealicious: Yes! He is far too cunning to have not foreseen the possibility of Nagini. And he's a potionas master! And a double agent! He obviously had some sort of plan to keep himself alive! And I agree with what you said about Hermione as well. Personally, I don't think many of JK's canon pairings make much sense, and Ron/Hermione was about the dumbest one of all. SS?HG is very interesting, and far, far more logical if one is willing to give it a chance.
