That's a good question, and I've wondered this myself. Obviously, Severus didn't plan on giving Harry is memories after being bitten द्वारा the snake, so what was his plan to tell Harry the truth? Harry never particularly trusted him to begin with, and even less so after he killed Dumbledore, so it wasn't like he could just walk up to him and say "Hey, yeah, I'm a good guy. It was all planned between me and Dumbles. द्वारा the way, you're the last Horcrux and आप need to go die for the war to end. Cheers!"

Maybe he was going to Imperio someone? Have them "miraculously" figure it out and tell Harry? That's how he got the Order to agree to the seven Harry's plan.

लोल प्यार your reply - I could not help imagining Severus saying something like that ! "Cheers and good luck, boy, all आप just have to do is die !"

That's anyone's guess. The story would have ended very differently, if things hadn't happened the way they did.

Great सवाल indeed. Like Bri said, how was Severus to tell Harry the truth when Harry was not very keen on believing him at all ? Maybe Hermione (the least hostile to Severus of the trio) would have helped him to persuade the boy. (No need to rely on Ron in this matter.)

I realize that Severus' impending death was something that added some credibility to his memories. या maybe is it the gruesome way Severus died that shocked Harry (he was a witness thereof) to the point that indeed, the Potions Master was sincere.

That's something to ask JKR.

Well, that, and also because Harry knew that Severus had died for nothing. Harry knew already who the true Master of the Elder Wand was.

Well, आप made a good point with "maybe Hermione"...even after the events on the lightning-struck tower, she told Harry he was a little off when Harry कहा Severus was evl.

Maybe he was still planning on दिखा रहा है Harry his memories? I have read somewhere that Jo कहा that tampering with memories is very difficult and after they've been tampered with, they always seem fake, so if Snape would दिखाना Harry his memories, maybe Harry would have believed him?1 The problem is that Harry hated Snape so much, he probably would have hexed first and asked सवालों later...

I agree with आप - these Gryffindor types are rather the kind to do that. Though Harry knew how a fake memory would look like - he had experienced it with Slughorn's fake memory Dumbledore had showed him in HBP.

Ding ding...points to आप both for good answers. Heh...a Slytherin awarding House Points to their own Housemates. :p I think something to consider, though, is that even in the book, Harry is such a compassionate person, that he tried to render aid to Severus, regardless of his personal feelings.

And points to आप too - I agree that Harry's main trait is his compassion - he's able to go past his personal feelings, as आप put it. As for the house points to Slytherin, I know another Slytherin that never missed an opportunity to grant points to his House... (he's called Severus S. - LOL)

No one knows.I think maybe he could cast his patronus to lead Harry to the HeadMaster's office and the portrait of Dumbledore would explain all the story.
