1. Set Me Free द्वारा Lafee; Though this song is और या less about a daughter trying to leave घर but some of the lyrics remind me very much of Isabella's marriage to Thornton. The time has come to let go of your girl it was good while it lasted, but now I am past it and nothing's gonna change it I won't return. is the first set of lines in the song. This part I relate to Isabella trying to break free of the man--telling him that it's time to let her leave. And then finally leaving and wishing to never return. You want me to shut up I'm tired off these standoffs. We all know how Thornton treated her. In particular this line reminds me of 'A Dangerous Deal' when he interrupts her sheriff speech and announces that he's the new sheriff. Set me free, let me go I'm not the girl आप used to know. This I associate with how young Izzy was when she was sold and of course how she actually made her escape. Who the hell do आप think आप are? Do as I say, hey, I'm talkin' to ya! In the song this was supposed to be the voice of the father. But I can very well see Thornton yelling something like this at Isabella. Hell, he practically did.
2. Midnight Strikes द्वारा Lafee; Lafee is a singer that just reminds me of Izzy. There's actually a third song द्वारा her that reminds me of Isabella but I didn't add it because I don't want the सूची to just be Lafee songs. This song is a pretty dark song that talks about rape. Moreover about the rape of a child--so a warning there because it's a sensitive topic. If you're uncomfortable with this topic I'd skip this paragraph. Dark it's oh so dark fear comes creepin the nightmares bout to start steps, its him again he's got that hunger, she can't comprehend hush now, आप need to hush now he whispers 'look who's coming now.'" This song just sends chills down my spine. But I think that this one is self explanatory. The look of dread on Isabella's whenever Thornton is near just tells me that he has abused her in many ways. I have no doubt in my mind that he sexually abused her (especially considering that scene where he backs her onto the बिस्तर and tells her that she's going to make up for running away). With that in mind, I think that she kind of just knows what's coming when she hears his footsteps. A child she's just a child but that don't stop his mind from runnin' wild. Cold she's oh so cold so helpless as evil unfolds. As mentioned she was only 13 when she was sold to this man and in medieval times he could do whatever he wanted to her. And द्वारा all means she was just a child. Not that Thornton cared. And the sad part is; because she was so young she really couldn't defend herself--and even if she could the law probably would have protected him.
3. How Do आप प्यार Someone द्वारा Ashley Tisdale; I've walked alone, broken emotionally फ्रोज़न getting it on getting it wrong. These lyrics refer to trying time and time again to get प्यार and get it right. And I think this relates to Isabella in that she tried for प्यार with Robin but she just doesn't seem to know how to प्यार very well because no one really ever taught her how. She hasn't had many good examples of love. How do आप प्यार someone without getting hurt how do आप प्यार someone without crawling in the dirt so far in my life clouds have blocked the sun. This verse I relate to her for the same reason listed above. Each relationship she had seemed to end in her getting hurt in one way या another. They told me I'd never survive but survival's my middle name. This one I also relate to Isabella because she has been through so much and as a woman living in her time she was constantly underestimated. And yet she's nothing if not a fighter and a survivor. I've walked alone, hoping just barely coping. And yet she kept moving a long and I think with Robin she had a lot of hope even though Thornton sort of broke her. And of course because of this she had to sort of lie and manipulate to protect herself. Hence why I think it's hard to tell the truth when you've always lied सूट्स her. And the final lyric; how do आप प्यार someone and make it last reminds me of her in that none of her relationships lasted.
4. Marry Me द्वारा Emilie Autumn; Marry Me is the song I think fits Isabella the best. From the very first line I thought of her; Marry me, he said, through his rotten teeth, bad breath, and then marry me instead of that strapping young goatherd, but when I was in his bed, and my father had sold me I knew I hadn't any choice, hushed my voice, did what any girl would do. I think this one is और self explanatory. It talks of an awful and unappealing man who wants to marry a girl. I do believe that Thornton was unappealing (at best) to Izzy. But (though the song says father) Isabella's brother sold her to him anyways. And being a female in the medieval ages, Isabella really had no choice other than to say yes. When I'm beheaded at least I was wedded and when I am buried at least I was married
I'll hide my behavior with wine as my savior. I really like the sarcasm in these lyrics and I can completely see Isabella saying something like this. And in her older years I can kind of see her using wine and such to forget her woes. But, oh, what beautiful things I'll wear what beautiful dresses and hair I'm lucky to share his bed. Once again I like the sarcasm here and can see Isabella saying this. But I can also see this being interpreted in a different way; as the wife trying to see the positives या convince herself that she's happy in some way. Which is something I can also see Isabella doing--pretending to be happy to help herself get by. Marry me, he said, god, he's ugly, but fortune is ours. This bit very much reminds me of Izzy. The very reason Guy sold her was so he could get money and so she'd have a place to stay. But Thornton was very clearly not attractive to her. My life is arranged but this union's deranged so I'll fuck who I choose for I've nothing to lose and when master's displeased I'll be down on my knees again. This verse reminds me of her fling with Robin. Technically Isabella was still married to Thornton when she was going off with Robin. And of course there was the fear of Thornton finding out. Just for running away he very nearly had her on her knees. We're coupled together through hell, hurt, and hunger या at least until husband finds someone younger. Furthermore I wouldn't put it past Thornton to just drop Isabella had he found someone younger than she. Finally and darkly; the song ends with singer Emilie Autum asking why she wishes she was dead; Especially since I'll soon be dead what beautiful things I'll wear what beautiful dresses and hair
I'm lucky to share his बिस्तर so why do I wish I was... Again Isabella now has a place to stay with Thornton and a reasonable amount of money. And yet he makes her life miserable.
5. Child Bride द्वारा Coco Rosie; Child Bride is very similar to Marry Me but in a और poetic and less vulgar manner. It’s hard to tell this is my wedding night I am dressed and ready beside my innocence. As mentioned above many times; Isabella was just a child when she was sold. And therefore I'd imagine she still had her innocence--innocence that has now been लॉस्ट to her. It is Hard to tell whose little girl am I the man with the black hat will take me घर tonight. Since the song is so similar to song number 4 this is the last line from the song I'll post. This part of the song is what I imagine Isabella saw Thornton as; a man who was just going to take her to a new and uncanny home.
Long story shot the songs that I associate with Isabella are ones that speak of Victorian type arranged marriages and trying to break free. Though there are also loads of songs that remind me of Isabella's feisty nature.
