Edward. He tried to give up on their relationship because he thought it was the best thing to keep her सुरक्षित (after what happened with Jasper at Bella's birthday). It was so hard on him, but he did it out of प्यार for her. Jake didn't प्यार her, he cared about her just because she was the mother of the one person he was going to imprint on, Renesmee. It wasn't real love, IMHO.
