In all honesty, I am a huge fan of debating. It's very fun and exciting- however, at my school, the annual debates usually focus on topics which I find boring or offensive (last year's topic was moral values and how they've changed in modern society) or just downright difficult to tackle in a polite manner.

We also get divided into the opposition team or supporting team by drawing chits, rather than the information we've gathered or the passions we exhibit. That's another thing that repels me.

People also possess the tendency to get very aggressive and rude when trying to get their point across... that's just very disheartening... *shudders*

I like debating, but I suppose I don't like the way most people debate, or the topics that they normally debate over.

Some people are just too damn sensitive and they make it difficult to have fun. Depends on the person you're debating I guess.
