What do आप think it means?

I complimented the shoes of a guy I like. He कहा thank आप but after that दिन he never wore them again. It's been about a महीना and a half and now I don't think it's coincidental. He knows I like him so idk what message he is trying to send. But One time he was staring at me and when I caught him, he just kept looking with this blank expression untl I looked away. And anytime he catches me staring, he will keep looking too until I look away. We bearly talk and when we do it's when he asks to borrow stuff from me. And one time when I let him borrow something, he कहा " you're the best" which आप wouldn't say to someone आप know who likes आप unless आप we're trying to turn them on, right? So I'm just getting a bunch of mixed signals. What do आप think this means?

Yeah... people who don't like me like that say "you're the best" to me sometimes. It's actually kind of annoying. xD

Yeah, it's best to be फ्रेंड्स first, या so I've heard. So even if they don't end up liking you, आप can still be friends, which isn't a bad thing.
