Most of them believe it's wrong due to their religion या on basic terms,their own beliefs. But! Let us take ईसाई धर्म for example. Not every Christian believes that it is a sin. Same goes for every other religion. It's all a matter of belief.

It's quite new for pop culture to accept any other sexuality, so people are simply frightened. Take any religion, race, idea that was introduced to society...people shun it and go against it because people are simply afraid of change and how this change is going to effect them and their prosterity.

At least, that's my view on it.
