Why फैन्पॉप users do not use their real image in there प्रोफ़ाइल picture? Any caution?

Personally, I don't mind uploading pics of me here but I don't really do it (unless someone asks me to) because I don't feel like it's that kind of website... It's not exactly the typical social network, it's not like facebook.

फैन्पॉप is a website for प्रशंसकों to talk and share about what they're प्रशंसकों of. So users here will mostly अपलोड a picture of what they're प्रशंसकों of to make it their प्रोफ़ाइल icon.

फेसबुक though, is और about आप and your फ्रेंड्स and family so it's normal to post pictures of yourself there. Not many people will post a pic of their favourite band या actor on fb though.

But आप can still do it. Some users have their picture as an आइकन and it still looks great though ;)

the आइकनों aren't supposed to be their real pictures. they're just for fun.

I don't use mine because I'm extremely paranoid about having my image on the internet. My friend has pictures of me on her फेसबुक and another friend has some videos. I don't use my picture any where.

I've seen some people with real आइकनों but that's strictly for facebook. On फैन्पॉप it's audreyy <3

I don't even use my real picture on Facebook...I look horrible in pictures so that's my main reason...and I'm paranoid about anyone seeing my picture anywhere on the Internet...

I used to use my real picture as my icon, and I mean that was a साल ago. Well, people can do what the fuck ever they want, and some people are just scared to post their picture because they think they might get stalked.

I don't use mine because I prefer to have anonymity about myself and I prefer fandom आइकनों plus I am extremely paranoid about getting stalked. I may have a picture of myself in the future but as of now, no.

well I wouldn't want to hurt anyones eyes xP haha I guess it's just because it's और fun to use something else as a profil picture and this isn't फेसबुक ^^

I don't really care, I just think that my ऐनीमे आइकनों are कूलर than any picture of me...

I don't want to put anything personal of mine on here-that includes photo's of myself.

Eh I just don't care ppl just do it to please other ppl cause they believe they look ugly but I bet they don't या because they wish they were someone else so they could make फ्रेंड्स . That's y some girls have boy profiles and some boys have girl profiles on here. Me I have pics of myself and other stuff . So yh.

Honestly I can't figure out how 2 अपलोड pictures from my phone या iPod 2 the computer so I just get pictures off the Internet........

People rarely do it cuz most of them are freaking ugly.

I don't use pictures of myself for 2 reasons.
1. I have no pictures of me on the computer, so I don't see the point in uploading a picture of myself.
2. I have issues with being photographed. आप could say that I'm extremely camera shy, and that I don't believe I'm "photo worthy".
Instead I use आइकनों of characters from my fandoms या आइकनों of बिना सोचे समझे things. It's a better alternative imo.
Some people don't use their pictures because they're paranoid about the people on the internet, and quite frankly I can't blame them for thinking that.

I never really used a pic of my self in any प्रोफ़ाइल I've ever owned because I'm as many कहा they are Paranoid and I feel a bit un-comfertable of having my pic posted...

I use both real and fictional pictures of myself, but i use really partially because i'm vain.....some may say i'm very vain, but they just have no idea.^^

Because you're not here to meet people based on how they look. You're here to meet people based on their interests, and the best way to attract people with the same interests is to use what you're a प्रशंसक of in your icon, especially here in the बिना सोचे समझे spot. For example, if I see someone else with another Beatles icon, I know they're a big प्रशंसक and I want to meet them. I couldn't care less about how they look.

That's just how I see it.

I'm too paranoid. Besides I have an obsession with lots of characters (especially Bellatrix and Asami Sato) so I want them on my icon.

It's mostly because we wanna दिखाना our current obsessions.

because they don't want to दिखाना themselves.

I don't use my चित्र because I always look horrible, so my प्रोफ़ाइल pic is of two of my idols :)

I never अपलोड चित्रो of me on the internet because I don't know how they can be used and on फैन्पॉप I sometimes talk about very personal issues of me and I wouldn't feel free to do it if I knew that people who know me could see my photo.That's also why I don't give my surname या the place I live.

Well, I usually use an image as an आइकन to represent something I like. For example, lets say that my आइकन is of Voltron. That means that I like Voltron. Simple as that.

Well this isnt फेसबुक were talking about. And even if i was on फेसबुक i would still use the Beatles to दिखाना off my, um... Beatl-ey-ness? I guess.
