well, after watching season 2 i think A is emily's GF! Remember at the end of an episode can't recall which 1 A was shopping online! buying boots!
and after a while when emily reunited with her gf and came to visit her at hanna's house, hanna's noticed the boots and asked if they're seasonal O.o
