3 Because the movie did not even match the book. I wanted to see Percy as a guinea pig but thats not exactly the point. They put some things in the first movie that was supposed to be in the second. And some stuff they didn't even do in the secod book they did in the movie/ So it was entirely wrong.
Honestly, 2-3. The first movie wasn't that bad, yet i didn't know about the dire change in book's plot (then i read it, and everything changed). There were key scenes and characters missing from the सेकंड movie that were in the book. The plot didn't flow very well (i felt that it was very misjointed, that would have been the editing's fault as much as it was the screenwriters), it was painful to watch (i cringed with the whole Kronos' spirit coming out of the sarcophagus; seriously that doesn't even happen until the 4th book!!< and द्वारा then he had a body -_-), they didn't battle Kronos in the सेकंड book (they battled Luke and his monster army).
There was no chariot racing -_- Another huge let down (some might argue that it didn't add much to the story, but hey, it may have fleshed out the story और that what the movie provided!!), no Grover in fluffy wedding dress (i only watched the movie to see this part- that was my main motivation which lead to ultimate disappointment). One thing that was redeemed from the first movie was the fact that they fixed up Annabeth's hair. How hard is it to misinterpret what 'curly, blonde hair' is suppose to look like?!
To all those who loved the movie; maybe आप should go and read the पुस्तकें (and then MAYBE you'll understand what i'm talking about). For all those who have seen the movie and read the series but still preferred the movie- ask yourself 'Why'? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion; but if आप just like the movie because of a 'good looking actor'... I don't consider that to be a illegitimate answer. Note: I was also annoyed द्वारा the fact that Percy cut his hair. Just NO. Note 2: I pray that they READ some of the reviews for the movie and actual LISTEN to what us प्रशंसकों are saying; because I just hope they don't make the same, stupid mistake in the अगला movie (if they are making one).
Two. And that's me being generous. I'm really sorry to all those who those who loved it...but I honestly haven't seen a film that was even half as cheesy as that. And I've seen some cheesy films. Why, oh why, did they have to put a flippin' moral in it??? Total disappointment for me.
I rate it a 2 1/2 because they left out almost all the things in the book, like Circe's island and the Sirens. At least Annabeth's hair was actually blonde.
3 I don't know what I was expecting, but I was pretty disappointed. Events were thrown in and taken out. My प्रिय part with Circe and the spa wasn't included. I realize they wanted to change it for certain purposes, but प्रशंसकों who enjoyed the book probably won't enjoy the movie in its entirety. The graphics and special effects were great though, especially that beautiful hippocampi ;-;
