Though I'd like to say: like any 17 year olds i USED to know... nowadays kids look like they're in their 20s when they're like 12... wtf is going on?!?!

only sometimes. Luke certainly didn't look or act 17. Peyton had her adult moments too. Brooke certainly acted her age. Naley didn't...being married and all.

now they r lik 22

For starters they looked way older over the years (all gorgeous, but definately order then happy go lucky seventeen/ eighteen year olds).
The activities they did were definately not normal highschool activities.
They're was lots of brooding and they acted much more mature.
By the second season none of them were partying or studying or doing homework.
They lived together, they had their own apartments, they had sex all the time, teenage pregnancies and parenting... and well the marriage just goes with out saying.
Plus, their parents (the few characters that still had parents around) let them do anything and everything with little to no punishment.
They might as well had been in college or out of college for that matter!
I mean, besides going to school they acted like normal adults.
And, even now when they are 22 they act much older then their age. And they still look older then 22 (well everyone besides James lafferty :D). Especially haley and peyton, they gave haley a very older style hair cut and Peyton just looks much older then 22. Same with lucas.
Plus they are all parents and act like thirty.
I think Mark needs to find a way to make them seem closer to their age.
Although the plot line tends to be great (although now not so much) mark has always had trouble making the characters seem their age.

I love one tree hill but Mark really has trouble with age.

hahaha u so funny 1treehillfan!! And so true.. but has there really ever been a show where they act their own age?? Dawson's creek was as bad as oth... i'm sure there where a lot more I can't think of right now :)

And I have to disagree with everyone else.
Brooke didn't act her own age at all. Brooke lived in her own apartment and had her own fashion line by the time she was seventeen.
And peyton lived a lone for most of her life.
And, it's VERY unrealistic- the situation with her parents.
I mean I understand her mom dying but I mean if her dad was a good dad(which he is supposed to be) why would he be letting Peyton live a lone?
I mean, "going on sea trips" it just doesn't make sense.
You don't leave your teenage daughter a lone in a house for monts at a time.
I mean she could be getting in a lot of trouble. Doing drugs, having sex, getting murdered, getting raped, getting psycho stalked or raped (all of which have happened) and you wouldn't even know.
And then not even calling when all of this happend!!!!
The least he could have done is sent Peyton's grandma to stay with her.
I think that none of them acted like teenagers.
Lucas acted the youngest.

no, I'm talking about brooke acting her own age in her bubbly, ditzy ways. I didn't say she lived like 17 year old.

I don't think luke acted his age, but he lived his own age (living with his mom; having little money; playing basketball/writing in his spare time)...
