I think they could have had a long engagement, Lucas needed to know she was in it for the long haul and that her job wasn't more important then him. When she said "someday," I think he heard it as "Someday, after I have all I want from my job, then I'll marry you."

She shud hav said she'd marry him then. but i don't really like Leyton anyways, i like Brucas waaaaaaaayyy better.

Honestly..I know she was young and she was afraid and everything...believe me her reasons are justified i'm not saying they aren't but she should have said yes...i disagree with the way lucas just left her after she said that...but i think she acted like he was asking her to get married right away...which he wasn't...engagements can be for awhile...you can take it both ways I guess...one being if lucas couldn't wait a year than how can he be talking about marriage...but on the other hand if peyton loves him enough to say someday...or let's wait a year...she could have spent that year engaged to him....

i totaly agree leyton4ever i mean i think that they should have been engaged for that year but then i guess there wouldnt have really been any drama plus i mean i really didnt like the way that lucas left peyton that was really wrong i mean she loved him and he just left that was really wrong and y would he leave like that if he really loved her i mean she really loved him so they should have been engaged but now maybe they will get back together cuz lindsay is gone
