That is one of the few Brucas scenes that I really didn't like very much... but I actually didn't mind the "Lucas Davis" part-- why not have Lucas change his last name? I thought it was cute. And the flowers part... that is very Brooke to pick out her own gifts--- I mean she used to pick out her birthday gifts that Peyton would get her when they were younger. I just didn't like the scene as a whole... Brooke and Lucas are both so family oriented and while they both have had successful careers- they have both put their careers on the back burner when it came to spending time with the people they love. So the conversations they were having about their lives really did not seem like an accurate portrayal of what Brooke and Lucas's future would be like had they gotten married. This scene really did not feel like it was a Brucas scene... they looked like Brucas but did not act like Brucas.

it was soo out of character for both, terribly written and i agree with ritergrl, the writers did it on purpose to make sure BL wouldnt even be a possiblity in his choice. the writers suck. when would brooke ever leave tree hill, and when would her career come b4 her family?! brooke and lucas did not act like brooke and lucas, it wasnt Brucas, it was some alien replacement. the writers suck ass.

When I watched this/these scene(s) for the very first time and realized they're about to show how Lucas' life would be like if he was with Brooke or Peyton or Lindsey...I totally knew Leyton was gonna be endgame. I mean I always figured he'd choose Peyton but, like you guys already said, that was so not a Brucas scene! They acted so...incredibly un-Brucas-like xP You know...like a rich, successful, snotty couple that isn't interested in anything but money and fame...they're just not these ppl! They always cared for their friends and family...and they had had waaaay better conversations in the past ; P You know...Brucas-like. The reason why I love(d) them!

Im a Leytoner, and i did find the scene funny, i never really thought about it in that much depth really before now (im always more interested in the LP scene that follows). I am the biggest Brooke fan everrrrr & i totally love her & i dont find her in any way selfish, but she has always made us laught at the things she does with her shopping & picking her own presents (remember peyton telling us) thats why i just saw her & the flowers as just something that she would do to be funny.
Looking back i do even as A Leytoner guess that this scene was a little unfair to brucasers showing them as snobs that never spent any time together, maybe Mark was doing this to show that Brucas wouldnt work or that this is how theyd turn out trying to remind us of highschool as they spent days without talking and were busy with their own lives (as in MY oppinion they were always apart & didnt spend that much time together), maybe even trying to ask BLers would you really want this selfish version of Brucas together. When you compare the LP & BL scene one is very materialistic, wheras Leytons is all about dreams coming true & getting what you wished for -so i think it wa strying to be said 'Look you can clearly see which couple is better' -showing that Leyton have more meaning. I do agree though that it was unfair t show Brucas in that light, as rich people that never spend anytime together as their too busy in their careers, because Brucas isnt absoluley meaningless under any circumstances, and if they did properly get married then their the kind of people that put there family first, and brroke definatley isnt the kind to be all about the work is she? -im just happy it ended up Leyto though tbh cos their just the best ♥

You can look at Brulian now and compare both couples. That Brucas dream was so FAKE, than you writters!

This scene was a huge offence to all BLers. Showed that Mark never truly gave a shit. Not that i wasn`t seeing it happening, but it just was a huge slap in the face.
It`s a shame he even DARED to write such scene.
