for me Luke is a better actor..James and Skills are just ok!and i say that coz i ca remember scenes that i admired Chad but i cant remeber scenes were James and Antony were great!!dont get me wrong i really like them!

I agree with Emily. And when I see interviews and stuff with James, and later see James on screen as Nathan, it's such a big difference between James and Nathan. And I'm amazed how a (little shy) kind person like James, could play a bastard like Nathan. In the first seasons, of course.

james is much much much better than he used to be, actually he was pretty bad in season 1 lol...i think chad was amazing in the earlier seasons...he has his moments now where he still is...however i think chad on his worst day is still better than james on his best day :)

I really hate how Mark writes Skill's character so stereotypically. It really bothers me that the only black guys in his show have to be over-the-top, flamboyant, "gangsters", who's sentences always consist of "dawg". Seriously. I don't think skills has ever said ONE sentence that didn't have some sort of street slang in it. It's frustrating. (Even though I love Skills! I'm just upset with Mark on his stereo types).

James has really improved over the years. I thought he was fabulous playing an ass in season 1, but not so hot the rest of the season. But through out the seasons he has improved. He is able to bring emotion better, and deliver his lines well. Still, he isn't often give much of a challenge to overcome, so we don't get to see some of his extraordinary acting. That's why he still doesn't compare to Chad.

I am pissed that Lucas is with Peyton. I don't like it. That doesn't mean that I don't realize what a phenomenal actor he is. Writer, hell no. The fourties episode was ridiculous. But, acting he can do it pretty damn well. He always makes his character so complex, even with the shitty plots Mark gives him. You have to hate and you have to love Lucas at the same time. He's just such a difficult character. He's not as simple as Jamie or Skills or Mouth or even Nathan. And Lucas can really bring emotion to the table. Chad is absolutely amazing, and I would say one of the better actors in the entire industry. He's really up there. I'm hoping that he gets some rolls that will step out of his teen movies and soap operas box and move on to more dramatic rolls. I don't really like him much as a person, but his acting deserves a prop or 2 ;)

and again.. they arent actors. luke, nate and skills are just characters. but anyway i think james is a better actor, and he's acting has changed so much since the first season! and i agree with you loves-oth about chad's acting and his crying. it's bad!

I think Chad, he is more famous plus he has been in more movies and tv shows! But I still prefer James out of them ;)

Pretty hard, but when I think about it, I've only seen season 1, 4 and 5 - and the difference between him in 1 and 4 is amazing.
