Fellow One पेड़ पहाड़ी, हिल Fans…
It seems there has been some controversy lately on the direction that OTH has taken, and I’ll admit being a BL प्रशंसक myself I was rather upset with Season 6. To be honest, I discontinued watching the दिखाना after about the 4th या 5th episode. But that isn’t why I’m लेखन this. The truth is I really appreciated the new 4-year, post college avenue that the writers chose to take. As a 23 साल old I और than likely wouldn’t have been so intrigued with the दिखाना hadn’t they done so. In fact, I initially was not a प्रशंसक of the दिखाना when I began watching towards the early middle part of the 4th season. I only watched a few episodes thanks to a friend who basically forced me to and tied me down into the chair. Needless to say, it was the flashback episode of season 5 that got me hooked. I immediately went out and purchased seasons 1, 2, & 3…and the rest is history. My point is, the 4 साल jump hasn’t offended या disheartened me, not even the at times over dramatic Leyton, या the fact that they are together. Okay I take that back, that has disheartened me greatly. But, what really did it, what really made me सवाल my loyalty to the दिखाना was their complete disregard for the history of all these characters. In my case, yes, Brucas, was my badge of honor, and even और so was my प्यार for Brooke. So naturally, this season could not have gotten ANY worse for me…and then something magical happened…tonight’s episode.
Why? Well, for the first time in a long time I saw some chemistry between Brooke and a man whose name is not Lucas Eugene Scott! I’ll be honest, I am not completely sold on the idea of Brulian just yet, especially दिया he and Peyton’s history, but it does perk my interest and spirits to see that LOOK (you know what I mean…lol) again! Call me crazy, perhaps I’m imagining things दिया my withdrawals of Brucas, but IMO there was something there that has been non existent in the Brase, Browen, etc. relationships. Julian unlike पूर्व characters has the charm to match her wit; and he plays her games oh so well (hence the “I’m not that guy…I just wanted some coffee”). What impressed me the most about Julian in this episode, and probably what has दिया me most hope for this two some, is that he has so much room to grow, so much fight, so much to prove. Something I think that Brooke has been desperately searching for. Lastly, Brooke and Julian seem to share a similar defense of putting up walls and wearing “guises”, when deep down they both appear to have compassion and loyalty to the one’s they care about.
In conclusion, what tonight’s episode really reminded me of was that “people who are meant to be together, always find there way in the end.” Cliché I know, but what that end may be none of us know. I won’t lie and say I don’t still hold on to a small shed of hope that ब्रूकस will get their IMO well deserved happy ending, because I do, and probably always will. What I do know is that tonight OTH redeemed themselves for the moment, gave me something to look आगे to, and regained my loyalty as a fan. With that being said…we all aren’t just Leyton fans, या ब्रूकस प्रशंसकों या नेली प्रशंसकों for that matter, we are One पेड़ पहाड़ी, हिल fans. So get over the pettiness that has consumed this spot. Every person has their own reasons for loving this show, regardless of their devotion to one ship या the other. From here on out, I’m just along for the ride…fingers crossed…that whatever ending they do chose to go with is one that I can believe in.
