Ruby and I were walking back to my apartment when Ruby broke the silence. "Is Niall 'the one'?" she asked suddenly. I stopped and turned to her. "Wh-what?" I stuttered. She shrugged. "You know, is Niall 'the one' for you? Like, are आप gonna get married?"
"Um... I don't know."
"Well, it's been almost 3 years since आप guys started dating. When are आप guys gonna get married?"
I laughed. "Ruby, those things take time. You're 14. आप should know that."
"13," she corrected. "14 in August." I smiled and tried to change the subject. "Harry's birthday is coming up, that should be interesting." "Yeah, It's in a week. I'm pretty excited."
"How old is he turning again?"
"21."
I laughed again. "Great, he'll be able to drink in America," I said. Ruby looked a me. "What?" she said. "Nothing, nothing," I said. Ruby tried to turn back to the Niall subject. "You're 20, isn't that old enough to get married?" she said. I rolled my eyes. "I don't know, Ruby. Can we not talk about that?" She giggled. "You and Niall just make such a good couple." I stopped again and turned to Ruby. "Listen, Ruby--" "Lilah!" someone in the distance called. I turned to see someone running towards us. "Lilah!" he called again. As the figure got closer, I realized it was Liam. "Lilah, where's Niall?" he panted. I winced. "I haven't seen him since this afternoon. Why?"
"He's missing."
Ruby, Liam and I rushed into the building. "He's not answering his phone, and worst of all..." Liam explained. "...it's fan-girl day." I cocked my head. "Fan-girl... day?" I questioned. Liam nodded. "It's a दिन where Directioners stop at NOTHING to find us. Everyone has to stay hidden. Niall कहा he was going to the store, then never came back," he said. Ruby gasped. "They got him," she said. Liam nodded again. Zayn suddenly appeared on the staircase. "Niall's phone finally answered..." he began. "Great! Is he okay?" Liam said. "...a screaming girl answered." Zayn finished. Liam face-palmed. "Great. Now Niall's phone is in the possession of a crazy fan-girl," he said.
सेकंड्स later, my phone rang. It was Niall's phone. "It's his phone," I said. "Answer it," Ruby said, shaking me. I pressed 'answer' and said, "Hello?"
"Is this Lilah?" a girl's voice said.
"...yes..."
"You shouldn't be dating Niall."
"I'm sorry, who is this?"
But the dial tone rang in my ear. I pressed 'end call' and sighed. "Yep. They have his phone."
Harry jumped down from the staircase above with a few Nerf guns. "And now to rescue him!" he said. Liam shook his head and lowered the Nerf gun. "No, Harry." Harry frowned. "Man, I never get to use this anymore..." he कहा sadly as he trudged up the stairs.
