I just hope that like with Emma, third times the charm. Meaning that the next love interest Regina gets is a PERMANENT keeper!

We'll never know until it happens. Besides, the actresses playing those characters had different projects to do, so that got in the way of them being more developed. Lana Parrilla is one of the main characters on the show, so she'd have a better chance of having a developed new relationship. After all, she managed to show instant chemistry with Robin when they first met. Also, on a minor note, I would've chosen Ruby Slippers as their ship name instead of Red Kansas.

I really hope that, that was the case with them. And I hope if they give Regina a new mate that they develop him or her well. But honestly I think this episode made me realize that I don't really want that; this show in the beginning had Regina calling Henry her happy ending. I'd like to see that--Regina realizing that Henry and her sister, and her friends are enough.

Same. But I think the fandom already picked Red Kansas.

For right now I'd prefer for Regina and Zelena to remain single. Regina did say herself in season 4 that her happy ending was accepting herself in the world and that Robin was just part of that world. I think both of them just need each other to comfort each other, their friends can comfort them too but specifically each other, and devote themselves to their children. Although, unpopular opinion, I'm not that mad that Killian came back. I mean, Emma's lost two guys already and has watched Killian die TWICE. She deserves some romance in her life. At this means that Zelena will be a main character for the rest of the show I hope. I love romance, but my two favorite relationships on the show are non-romantic, despite some people trying to make one of them romantic. Emma, Regina, & Henry and Regina & Zelena.

That's exactly why I'd want her single because of the whole "my happiness is finally feeling at home in the world, Robin is just a part of it." And Zelena needs to wait for someone who is right for her, who can treat her well. And besides, as you mentioned, they need some time to comfort each other and bond with each other.

I just have to be salty about that; I think she deserves better. And the fact that they were making out on Robin's grave was just a slap in the face. So that kind of amps up the annoyance.
