Hello other Oncers. I been a प्रशंसक of OUAT since the season 2. I binged watch on the first season during the summer prior to Season 2. I noticed online elsewhere some people crabbing about stuff like "Snow's dad abused Regina?" and I thought I should get people straight on historical stuff.

Lesson 1: Why is pre-dark one Rumple viewed as a coward? This goes along nicely with a non-OUAT topic of mine- Why do Dads in fairytales never do anything? (not counting Rapunzel's dad).

As far back as the hunter-gather area. Dads' were suppose to be the breadwinners and soldiers for their families. Kids-step and not, the home/house, servants-were all the wife's responsibilities no matter how many wives he had (if it was in the Asian cultures its a different story). In medieval times dying in battle was well noble. Since one was giving up his life for his country या group. Some people today still believe that. Rumple is considered a coward because he was what we would call today a 'family man' 300+ years before the term existed in our world. And when आप also consider he crippled himself-disabilities wouldn't understood very well until the 1960s (and still aren't). So I'm not surprised that Miliah didn't like being tied to the village cripped coward-but being a widow would have been a lot worse but it would have been an honourable thing.

Lesson 2: courtship
The term boyfriend didn't come into being until the 1920s much lie the word 'dating'. Back in medieval times and until the 1900s(?) people didn't live as long as they do today. So that they needed to marry young sometimes as young as 12 years old for girls. IF they were a princess (like Eva) and Prince (like Lepold) they were mostly likely were betrothed since birth. There would have been a period of courtship (in nicer families)- before getting married. If someone didn't get married in those days द्वारा the age of 21 they were considered an old maid. Regina marrying her mom's ex-fiancee mattered little.

Lesson 3: Regina being left alone at a castle.

I'm not very surprised on this one. Back in those days someone (usely the wife या daughters) would have to be left at 'home' when the king या lord went on trips to other castles या (if they're lords) to court. I believe that the king might have taken snow so she could see what is suppose to become her future land to rule (and maybe to meet some princes या nobleman's boys she could be bethroed too?). As for King being too 'in love' with his dead first wife-not too surprising their-his first wife gave him an heir (not a male one but an heir netherless). Ever heard of Henry VIII? He had 6 wives but the one he loved the most was his 3rd one who died after giving him what he wanted. As for why Regina couldn't have a 'lover' someone either the lover या the क्वीन या both would had to be executed-aka Catherine Howard.

Lesson 4: Regina not having children द्वारा king

Regina not having children द्वारा Snow's dad doesn't mean she was infertile. It just she never was interested in marrying Snow's dad in the first place. Remember how Cora कहा that Regina accepted? Cora was the one who accepted it on Regina's behalf so technically it was a forced marriage. I also got the feeling they never "consummated" the marriage either.

If I remember correctly in castles like Snow's, the क्वीन (or in many cases, lady) has a separate suites of rooms including a bedroom then the king (or lord) does. This is seen in Season 1 episode "Fruit of the Poisonous Tree" '

I'm sure many people know I ship CaptainSwan, but I will try to keep this लेख as unbiased as possible and will enter a mental neutral zone.

It's unfortunate, but I see a lot of negative encounters between SwanFire shippers and CaptainSwan shippers. और negative than positive, too. Can this be changed? I think so. How? Respect.

But to clarify on what's respectful and what's disrespectful, here are some examples:

Respectful

"I think Neal and Emma would make a good couple because they have similar backgrounds and they've been through a lot."

"I don't think Emma and Neal would make a good couple...

It has come to my attention that some people (SwanFire shippers, it usually seems) genuinely don't understand why the CaptainSwan ship even exists. And I just want to say, before I get started, that it is not my intention to start a ship war between CaptainSwan and SwanFire. The intention of this लेख is not to convert SwanFire shippers, but to help them understand where some CaptainSwan shippers might be coming from.

This लेख is not intended to speak on behalf of all CaptainSwan shippers because while we agree on the Emma x Hook relationship, we may not all be on the ship for the same...

After पढ़ना katarlover's लेख I made this long टिप्पणी दे about it. I asked him if he minded if I पोस्टेड the response as a separate article--he कहा yes, so here we go. I tried to be respectful about it, feel free to agree या disagree, just be respectful about it.

I can agree to some extent that she's a hypocrite, but not for that reason. I feel like that is और so denial and a twisted sense of justice. At that point she was totally (by some faltered mental state) convinced she was in the right, and that she really wasn't evil. In the most हाल का season she admits that she's wrong many times;...

People seems to have a lot of issues with Emma and some of the choices she made. She has never been a favourite character of mine but I really feel dreadful for her. She was forced into a lot of shitty situations where she had to make terrible decisions and generally always chooses to do right द्वारा other people even if it will bring her heartache.

Starting at the very beginning, one of the main things that Emma did that people use against her is her giving up Henry. I've seen her called a terrible person, a bad mother, and all sorts of things because of this and the kicker? She didn't have a choice!...

The Boy Who Ran Away या the story of Bealfire

It all started with a boy that had लॉस्ट his father. This was not uncommon at that time because the country was at war, but he had not लॉस्ट his father in the war as the other boys had. He had लॉस्ट him to a great darkness that had consumed all that was good in his father, all that he had loved. This darkness went द्वारा the name of magic.

The father that had loved him, cared for him, comforted him when his mother had been killed was gone. Magic had killed him या was killing him and replacing him with a cruel man filled with hate that hurt everyone around...
