Present

Dreams...they could either be a beautiful path to the future...or just hopeless fantasies and illusions...

For years i've tried countless times in attempting to find a way for an average earthpony like me to get up high in the world of clouds,but unfortunately,they ended in utter failure.With that,most of the ponies laughed at me,saying that i was getting 'looney' and all that but i am far from through with it! I did have many negative results,but amidst those i have gained bits and pieces of knowledge i could use to get closer and closer to success!

In fact,i have yet another idea and the contraption is currently in construction,but unlike any other past inventions,this one will not need a decoy but a real living टट्टू to test it,and the perfect one to help me with that is none other than my younger brother,Heave Ho. Yes,one of the delivery stallions who carry and bring large packages throughout Equestria द्वारा hoof...very impressive indeed,and now that i think about it...i think those twin stallions we met when we were young had that same occupation if not for the गाड़ी of goods they had with them.

Oh,but of course i will have to so major calculations to ensure a high probability of success,i just hope that it would end well...i will tell of this to my sibling the अगला day,but for now,sleep awaits me if i am to complete this in time...yes,yes.

A week has passed since i have finished my invention,my brother has also agreed,though reluctant,he was kind enough to help. My अगला flying contraction,it was a bit hard to collect material as it is with the पूर्व ones but at least this was a bit simpler. It is based on my old model of which i called a "kite",it did not go well,when i tried a larger model,but this time,with a few adjustments,it just might work. Even so,i would need to stay on ground and take notes on this experiment to see some things that would need tweaking and all,that was the very reason why i needed my brother in the place,after all.

My brother and i were currently on the पहाड़ी, हिल of the meadow near Ponyville,being the currently quiet and empty place it is right now,it was perfect to test things out and i even read this day's newspaper to see if the weather is fine,it should be okay to do this now.

"We should be alright to start now,are आप ready brother?" facing him,i asked in an excited voice

my sibling who was under the blue colored kite-like contraption moved his head to my direction "...hmm...yes,of course...its going to alright,yes?"

"Based on my calculations...it should be,any moment now an average wind will be coming through here,so that will briefly keep आप up,even for a few meters...besides stuck a rope here,also connected there just in case"

...and with that final remark,he trusted my words and leaped from the hill,holding the metal bars that were attached to my invention,the wind catching on. The triangular पतंग which i created,then floated high and i could see my brother looked surprised,and i swear that i had the same expression dressing my face...It worked!

द्वारा now my mouth must have the biggest grin right now with this success,at last,i-i did it......but wait,something feels odd,i could see my brother looking scared and worried...why? at that point,i saw his hoof point at a direction,and with confusion,i followed where it pointed...it cant be! i could see dark clouds,coming towards us at a rapid speed and following it were strong gusts of wind,oh no! I need to save Heave! i rushed to the spot where the other end of the rope was implanted,but alas,i was too late...The rope had snapped and now the wind was carrying my dear brother,i saw it in front of my very eyes,as lighting struck him,and my invention being caught on आग as it fell to the ground.

It all happened in a flash,and i couldn't do anything...the flames had spread a bit,burning the फूल that adorned the field,the strengthening wind forcing the plants to dance roughly,and the sudden pour of rain dampening my fur,also distinguishing the blaze slowly yet i was still dumbstruck at the sudden shift of event that happened before me...why had it happened? i made sure to prepare for almost anything! but the weather...it couldn't be...they made a mistake,that's why this happened...i'd say that they were to blame,but i know that i was at fault. I was the one who made another of my failure of a contraption,I was the one who didn't make sure that everything was perfect and most importantly... was the one who got my own brother caught up in my...my monstrosities! I am at fault...
