There are some movies that would be good if it wasn't for the horrible humor. When a movie is a comedy it's supposed to be funny, so there will be a lot of jokes, but if most of them are bad it can't be a good movie. If it was more of a straight forward movie, it can be good because of good serious acting and heartwarming moments and lessons.

It depends on how overwhelming the attempts at humor are. If it's just a couple of cringe-worthy jokes I can get over it but if it's a constant presence throughout the movie it does ruin it for me.

For example I'm not a fan of what's known as potty humor. If a movie has an abundance of that, I consider it a waste of my time.
