#1 Folium
Leaf Nose Pokemon
Grass/Bug
Poison
HT: 2 ft long
WT: 5-7 LB
This starter pokemon is best known for its leaf shaped head and split tail. It's tiny legs look like rose thorns and its leaf antennae shrivel when thirsty. It's whole body changes colors with the seasons and its name means Leaf. The split tail is actually useful for attacks and it's thought that the stronger the tails of this pokemon, the sooner it will evolve.
Fieldveiw is said to be the best place to get this pokemon but any of the 3 starter towns will do
87.5% Male 12.5% Female
Photosynthesis: During sunny days this pokemon will slowly gain back its life. It also boosts grass attacks in sunny weather.

#2 Abeo
Thorn Ball Poke'mon
Grass/Bug
Poison
HT: 2 1/2-3 ft
WT: 8-10 LB
Evolves from: Folium
The name of this pokemon means Change. This pokemon is totally covered in torn vines. Because of that, the actual form is unknown. It's known to uncurl the outer layer of vines to gain nutrients from the earthand it doesn't do well in places with little soil nutrients. Just before it evolves, for about a day, a rose will sprout from its head. The petals are beautiful and vibrant in color but the smell is toxic. If you manage to get one after it evolves (because they usually eat it as they evolve) it's said to bring not only good luck but also attract bug and grass types as the smell is harmlessly sweet after detached from the pokemon. Some people forcibly cut the rose off. This not only causes extreme pain but weakens the pokemon and instantly makes it unable to evolve. It also will eventually cause the death of the pokemon because each day it doesn't have the rose and doesn't evolve it's slowly dying. Note that interrupting the evolution and removing the rose are not the same thing, and unlike most pokemon after you interrupt the evolution it will attempt to evolve about a week later. It will maintain the rose upon its head throughout this time. You will only have 2 changes though, after the 2nd attempt to evolve the rose will die and fall off.
Rare in the wild but always surrounded by flowers.
87.5% Male 12.5% Female
Sharp Thorn Root: In fertile soil this pokemon gains life back. Any pokemon that comes into direct contact with this pokemon is scratched and if this pokemon should be poisoned and then a physical attack is used, the poison is transferred from Abeo to the attacker.

Leaf Butterfly Pokemon
Grass/Bug/Flying
Poison
HT: 5-7 ft, 5-7 ft wing span
WT: 13-16 LB
Evolves from: Abeo
The name of the pokemon means Green, though its wings change with the seasons just like leaves. The body is said to be full of water like any plant, and the poisonous stinger on the end of the body feeds from it. All the liquid inside is poisonous and it apparently comes from what it eats; mushrooms and various unknown plants. It's never seen eating unless its owned by someone. Naturally the poison fades if the correct mushrooms and plants aren't fed, so it's been a constant battle to find out what they are, though it seems they're able to find them by themselves if left in a big enough place. Thus it's recommended they're left in a day care every so often so they can get their poison back.
Rare in the wild but always surrounded with flowers.

#4 Pyryme
Flame Caterpillar Pokemon
Fire/Bug
HT: 2 ft
WT: 5-7 LB
The fire starter poke'mon. Flames burst from all the joints, the area around the neck especially. Some call it the lion of the bugs, both because of it's "mane" of flames and it's temper and courage. It's thought that this pokemon is hollow save flames pulsing through it and it enjoys eating anything hot and spicy. It will refuse to eat anything sweet and would rather starve.
The best starter town to get this pokemon is Tropica because of the hot weather, but you can get it from any of the starter towns.
87.5% Male 12.5% Female
Warm Up: Ice attacks have no affect, this poke'mon can NOT be frozen or affected by icy weather

Flaming Cocoon Pokemon
Fire/Bug
HT: 2 1/2 ft
WT: 6-8 LB
Evolves from: Pyryme
No one knows what this pokemon's true form is because it's always surrounded by flames. However, they aren't hot if the pokemon likes you. It's name means Shift. This pokemon always looks angry, so telling it's actual emotions can be hard if you don't personally know the pokemon. In this stage you can tell what gender it is, as males always have more oranges and females always have more reds in the flames. Females also do not have the mask around the face like males.
Rarely found in the wild, but always in deserts or by volcanoes
87.5% Male 12.5% Female
Flame Up: Direct contact with this poke'mon causes instant burning every time. Water type attacks don't have AS much affect because of the intensity of the flame, and ice attacks have little to no affect.

#6 Incendia
Fire Butterfly Pokemon
Fire/Bug/Flying
HT: 5-6 ft, 4-6 ft wing span
WT: 12-15 LB
Evolves from: Amoveo
Name means Fire, it's wings are pure flames and often shifting. As such, it's one of the only butterflies who don't have the same design on each wing. There is only has 1 constant thing in the wings...the bottom wings have 3 black stripes which are thought to actually be shafts for the fire to come out of. Naturally the tips of them are always red. The constant changing means that the length of them changes as well. The antenna are thin strips of flame, and it's unknown if they work as well as normal antenna.

87.5% Male 12.5% Female
Desert Storm: Ice has no affect at all on this poke'mon. If this pokemon gets angry (meaning if it gets hit 3-5 times in a row or the opponent uses a move like enrage) water has little to no because of the heat the flames achieve.

#7 Wyrm
Crystal Waters Pokemon
Water/Bug
Ice
HT: 2 ft
WT: 5-8 LB
Name comes from the word “Worm”. This starter pokemon is the most often picked because it's the cutest to most. It's thought the ice horns on its head work more like ears then antenna. Despite it's color, it's fur is actually clear, the color you see is the result of light bouncing through the different shaped hairs. Because of this, it will appear different colors in different lighting.
Rarely found in the wild, but always in cold places with clean water
87.5% Male 12.5% Female
Cold Body: Pokemon can not be burned and fire attacks do minimum damage.

#8 Glacies
Ice Cocoon Pokemon
Ice/Water/Bug
HT: 2 1/3 ft
WT: 10-15 LB
Evolves from: Wyrm
This pokemon is hard as crystal and cold as ice. Sadly it has little self control and likes to tackle things, often sticking to them because of its cold shell. It's name means Ice. It was once hunted to near extinction, as it's ice can't melt. This makes it a favorite pokemon of desert people, although it's thought that the pokemon themselves are usually miserable there. Apparently the poke'ball that it's kept in is also cold to the touch and some trainers have problems getting them to open.
Rarely found in the wild, but always in cold places

Ice Crystal: Can't be burned and fire attacks do little damage. Along with that, Ice and water attacks raise this pokemon's defense and sometimes special defense.

#9 Glacciwing
Ice Wing Pokemon
Ice/Water/Flying
Bug
HT: 4-6 ft, 5-7 ft wing span
WT: 13-17 LB
Evolves from: Glacies
This pokemon's wings are made of ice. Naturally, it hates hot places. Fortunately it can re-freeze it's wings and reform them if they melt, as only it's body is unable to be melted. Many people have tried to recreate it's wings as glass windows, but they can never seem to get it just right. It's assumed that it's body is actually hollow, which allows it to fly without difficulty. This also explains it's light weight.
Rarely found in the wild, but always in cold places

#10 Stalkit
Grass Kitten Pokemon
Grass/Poison
Normal
HT: 3 ft
WT: 10 LB
This adorable kitten was chosen as a potential starter mostly because of how easy it is to train. While it does tend to be very independent and stubborn, it also will grow very fond of it's trainer very quickly. They're known for being able to squeeze into tight places and are common pets. Even people that don't generally like pokemon seem to enjoy the company of 1 of these adorable pokemon. They have incredible energy levels and enjoy attacking pretty much anything. It's probably a good thing that it's hard to stay mad at this little fluffball.
Rarely in the wild, always in forests near towns.

Flower Cat Pokemon

HT: 5 ft

Evolves from: Stalkit
Where there once was grass seems to have broadened to leaves and the 1 large leaf has fallen off to reveal a flower. This cat is known for preferring the night, and the flower on it's neck only blooms in moonlight. No one seems quite sure why this is, but it's thought it's because it's become a much darker green and thus can hide more easily in the night. It's piercing blue eyes are known to glow faintly in the night.

#12 Blounce
Thorny Cat Pokemon
Grass/Poison
Fairy/Normal
HT: 6 ft
WT: 18 LB
Evolves from: Floracat
It's name is a combination of Blooming and Pounce, it's a nocturnal hunter with very poisonous thorns around it's neck. It can apparently control how much, if any, poison goes to them and how sharp they are. Apparently the more content they are, the less likely they are to use them. The flowers on their head and tail have a very sweet scent that seems to change depending on it's mood. The color of the flowers also depends on where and when it evolved. One that evolved at night with have a darker colored flower then one that evolved during the day. Similarly, one that evolved in the snow will have a blue flower whereas one evolved in the desert will have a rusty red or pink flower.
Rarely in the wild, always in forests near towns.

Heart Wing Pokemon
Fire/Flying
HT: 2 ft

It's wings look like hearts, and no one knows why this is. It's also incredibly warm and it's feathers are loves for comforters and mixing into poke'doll stuffing because they seem to be at least part of the source of the heat. It's feathers also seem to gleam in the light when they're properly taken care of. The long feathers on its head seem to work almost as antennas.

#14 Flamel
Pseudo Phoenix Pokemon
Fire/Flying
HT: 5 ft
WT: 10 LB
Evolves from: Flametress
Easily mistaken for a mythical bird, it's known to be very proud of it's feathers and will burn anyone that tries to do anything to them. It has layered wings, and one of the layers sticks up from it's back. It's not clear why this is, though it's thought it's used to make them look more intimidating. They flatten when they fly, though. It's long tail feathers make it easily seen in the air. Some believe where it evolves determines the shade of it's tail feathers, but it's possible it's also what it eats. Because many prefer this more elegant form, it's considered the least evolved starter pokemon. It's also known for it's speed and grace.

#15 Flamrex
False Dinosaur Pokemon
Fire/Dragon
Ground
HT: 10 ft
WT: 300 LB
Evolves from: Flamel
Birds are the closest living relative to dinosaurs, and it seems this pokemon represents that. Not everyone is fond of this temperamental giant pokemon though. It's a very slow pokemon, but makes up for it by being a giant tank. It's still oddly decorated in heart shaped scales. That and it's coloration are the only things left from it's pre-evolution. This pokemon is strangely playful, though, and often doesn't know it's own strength. It's best to have another pokemon of a similar size around because it needs someone not only to keep it calm but to play with when it gets bored...which happens a lot...

Water Puppy Pokemon

HT: 5ft

This incredibly soft water type has such sleek fur that virtually no water can stay in it's coat. It's also a very fast swimmer. Known for it's loyalty, it will stand by it's trainer no matter what. In fact, if it's a higher level then what's suppose to be trainable based on the owners gym badges, it will continue to listen to the trainer up to 5 levels over. After that it just wants to play. This seems true of all of the evolutions of it as well. It's also a common pet, and loves playing. It enjoys playing in the sun and especially near water

Males and females start looking different at this stage, and also start being good at different things. Females are known for being slightly vane and very fast. They're very sleek and have better special stats. Males, however, are more bulky. They're not quite as fast but have better physical stats. Males are much more muscular, while females are thinner and smaller. It's unknown why there's such a massive difference between the to genders

The same rules for gender apply here as well, with males being much more bullheaded and stubborn and females being much more vane and independent. However, just because the females are more independent doesn't mean they aren't loyal, as both genders are fiercely so and will put their trainer's safety over their own. They're known to regularly take on much bigger and stronger opponents to make their trainer happy and protect them. In a near constant state of pushing themselves, they seem to level up much quicker then most pokemon.

This adorable little grass type usually needs help taking care of it's feathers, as it's in a near constant state of getting dirty. It makes up for this by being very cute, and a favorite pet among females. Though many males pick it as a starter because of what it grows into. Plus, who doesn't love a tiny soft little chicky? That could be why there's 2 separate places that offer different chick pokemon as a starter...

Fierce as it is, sometimes it's hard to believe this is a grass type. It's colors vary slightly depending on what it's feed growing up. It's also very fast, and known to fly off simply because it can. They always come back though, and it's believed the reason they fly off is to check the path ahead of the trainer to make sure it's clear. They enjoy battling despite being known for having tenancies of laziness.
