The big twist in the story, and perhaps the best part of the anime as a whole (though, admittedly, there are other amazing scenes that would vie pretty well for it), this quote is perhaps the creepiest I've seen in any anime, and gorgeously done. To withdraw their sense of hope and wonder, to turn the series towards darkness and terror, in a single instant was truly something to behold.
