I don't think you need your parents approval to date someone, and if the relationship isn't necessarily the "think about the long term" kind, then I don't see any reason to introduce the person you're dating to your parents. They don't control you. I think your parents only need to meet him/her when you're thinking about spending the rest of your life with that person.

You should tell them about him/her before that, though (when you're living with your parents). You shouldn't lie about where you're going and who you're with, but the formal introduction shouldn't be after just one date.
