They've been going out for three months and I've been away from him for along time. We talk by emails but I'm afraid he's going to be serious with this girl

Don't hurt yourself. Stay friends and be happy. Be happy for him too. I always look at it that if you're at least friends, it's good enough. Maybe by being happy and hanging out a lot he will start looking at you at a different way. Even if not, friendship is an amazing thing.

I'm kinda in the same situation. Kinda. The guy I'm in love with is my friend, Ruben. All he knows is that I like him, cuz my friend told him; RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! He has a girlfriend and he really likes her.

3 months is kinda a long time...I'd let him be happy.

It probably won't last forever and if you're really in love with him, you can be with him later. Keep your friendship.

In the meantime, put your romantic feelings for him away for awhile, try not to brood and encourage them. Look about for other guys you many be interested in, and enjoy yourself. If at sometime in the future he becomes single, go after him if you're still interested.

You need to tell him how you feel...

Keep your love secretive while he has a girlfriend. You don't want to interfere with their relationship. It may hurt you, but be strong, keep your head up. Congratulate him and TRY to move on. You can't wait around forever...

Well here's how the story goes:

After fifteen years of being one of his best friends, i thought,"Hey, maybe I could ask him out" but the moment i get the courage to ask him, he asks me right before Valentine's Day "I'm thinking about getting my girlfriend jewelry for Valentine's Day" I got really pissed off but obviously didn't show it. He's really crazy about her and I ask him to hang out and he's like "I'll check with my GIRLFRIEND" It's getting on my nerves

He's just not that into you... I know you don't want to hear that, but you need to so you can let him go and move on. And that doesn't necessarily mean that you still have to be friends with him. I know that can be so much harder... Wanting someone that's sitting right next to you but not being able to have him. Sometimes it's just easier for you to keep your distance so that he doesn't have a chance to keep messing with your heart because he probably doesn't even realize what he's doing to you and you'll keep hoping for something to happen but odds are it may never happen.

As for the telling him thing… I just think that’s a bad idea. Just try to be happy for him. Besides girls aren’t the ones that are supposed to chase the guys. Those relationships hardly ever last.

Then again maybe you're right, Nobomerelio... Maybe he's not sure she would feel the same way... I'm just saying guys make stupid decisions sometimes. :P Getting a girlfriend when you like someone else just doesn't make sense to me... Then again, you are a guy maybe you could enlighten us.
