While Harry Styles has been busy showing off his ball skills with Brooklyn Beckham and Liam Payne\'s been winning epic water fights, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have been getting on with the day job and having a lovely chat with Clyde 1 Radio.

Taking a break from their OTRA shows at Glasgow\'s SSE Hydro, the boys stopped by to talk all things

, as well as a few secrets about the tabloids, that Justin Bieber feud and some seriously sneaky fan plans.

So, how are they feeling about you lot reacting to the fifth album, then?

: It\'s always nerve wracking because once you\'re in the bubble of writing it and recording it, it\'s hard to really establish how good a song is. So it\'s always nerve wracking for the first listen, for sure.

Is this album release day battle with Justin Bieber an actual thing, or not?

: Maybe, but we mocked him back. It\'s all just a bit of a laugh and a joke, let\'s have it.

Do they actually read all the ridiculous stuff about themselves in the press?

: A lot of it is just silly and farfetched. I think it\'s crazy sometimes some of the stories that some people believe.

What\'s the craziest thing that a fan has ever done to meet \'em?

: I think we were playing the O2 around the time of the film, and didn\'t some fans have some mock up AAA passes that they\'d designed.

: I\'ve got a similar story. It was the last show in Boston, the day of my birthday, and my friends were over because we were going away on holiday. I walked out to do an interview, came back into my dressing room and they\'re sitting there talking to these two girls who said they were dropping off towels. They were backstage just floating around, wearing tshirts that looked like they were working at the arena... But then I walked in and the two of them freaked out. Everyone was like \'WOAH\' and they said \'It\'s okay, it\'s okay, we\'ll leave\', but they were like \'You\'re not going anywhere yet, you\'re in trouble\'.

: There\'s a song on the album with the lyric \'Made In The AM\' in it. But we did also spent a lot of time doing late night sessions and stuff like that in the studio.

: A lot of the time we did it after shows, writing sessions after the shows and it kind of just seems to be the way we\'ve done it now for the last two or three albums.

: It also means we get to get out of bed later, have a bit of the afternoon to yourself and go to the studio late in the evening.

The other day they had a lovely little chat about how their early gigs in Glasgow are some of their faves ever.

: It was just our first little trip outside London. We\'d been living in that house for about ten weeks for the X Factor and then we went up and played the Garage and a few different places around Glasgow, and it was just a good trip. We had a great time.

What have they got planned for this mysterious hiatus, anyway?

: We\'re gonna go on holiday together at the start of the year, just chill. We\'ve been touring for five years now so we\'ve decided we\'ll just chill out and do a bit of relaxing for a change.
