there are no real rules, no word limit. it can be as long or as short as you want. try to stay in character, when characters out out of character ppl tend to get annoyed (this is what i've found anyway). have fun with it!!

I agree with TS. The only advice I have for you is to make your fanfic at least semi-realistic by taking into account events that have already occured or have been mentioned on the show and to make the characters as in-character as possible. Good luck on your first fanfic.
