Why are most homophobes proud of disliking gays?

Same as us, they believe in what they're saying. They believe they're right, and when आप think you're right you'll shout your opinions to the world without giving a damn what people think.

It's as simple as that.

A lot of them feel justified in condemning other, it makes them feel powerful. Religious pricks especially.

Most of them are guys, ithink, and it makes them feel like REAL men to beat gays. it's disgusting, and they should be punished for it.

I feel very strongly on this subject... obviously.

I think traditionally they think most people are against homosexuality so they know that they have strength in numbers plus the bible and other stuff to 'justify' their rant - plus they are proud to think they are 'normal' and dont have to justify being 'normal' and against those that 'are not' (in their little minds anyway).
Another reason could also be internalized homophobia cuz they are in denial that they might be homosexual and don't want people to know so they bash it thinking it makes them appear straight.

But they should be afraid of negative responses cuz most people nowadays know someone that is a friend या family member that is homosexual and that makes it और personal cuz they may really like the gay person and dont like the stupid homosexual remarks anymore. And it's just not pc anymore (in a lot of places not all) and it makes आप sound like a total ignorant boob for talking against people that are not straight. It's pretty much not ok to bash anyone these days, at least where i'm from, not in public anyways cuz people will think आप are, like i कहा before, an ignorant boob.

Some are Right-Wing extremists who do it as a ploy to get votes. Some are bible-thumpin freaks, who think it is there job to make all church goers look bad and close minded. - Sadly when I was younger I was only for " gay/lesbian unions" you're outlook on life and opinions can change as आप get older. Im 22 now- and if heterosexual couples can get married and divorced so many times, gays can have the right to marry at least.

I was born and raised Roman Catholic, I still am- but I have not been to church in a while....because they condemn alot of things I think are fine. - pro-choice, masturbation, contraceptives, birth control pills, other religions. etc

Because they honestly believe that they're better than us because of it. They've been brainwashed द्वारा religion. Terrible thing, really.

I'm homophobic because most homosexual's are tattoo phobic against me and I've been discriminated द्वारा them because of my टैटू they are scared of me because I'm tattood and won't hire me but they can be nasty and have jobs its not fair and when they have except me for who I am I'll except them for who they are until then I'm homophobic
