	BeB picked एल: Ok, this is a fangirl of L, but L KNEW that he was going to die and KNEW he couldn't do a damn thing! He KNEW, and he KNEW there was nothing he could do, he knew how the Death Note worked, and he was about to get Misa and in turn get Light proven guilty, thats why Light had Rem kill L quicker! Light was a cheater, and L just didn't have enough time. But thats not enough to prove whos smarter, I'd say L for he was always 2 steps ahead of Light and he did so without having any help from a death note or death God! L's been solving extreamly hard cases since he was in grade school, while Light is just gifted, but not the same way L is. So I say definatly L is the smarter of the two, but its not like Lights a idoit and its not that Nears smarter, L is the smartest, hes smarter than any task force member, any Kira, and any Wammys Boy.
