I doubt that. First, their last names are different. Lawliet to Yagami. This is definete proof. Then, the fact that Light did not know एल for about 17 years of his life. एल was in an orphanage, hinting that his parents had died, while Light still has both parents. (sniff sniff... Poor L!)
