Island Def जाम has teamed up with New Rochelle High School in New York to put on the annual New Roc Rhapsody fundraiser event.

Headlining the संगीत कार्यक्रम event will be Def Jam's own, Karina Pasian. The 17-year-old prodigy (and goddaughter of Quincy Jones) has already made a name for herself with the लोकप्रिय single, “16 @ War,” a song that tackles young women's issues in today's society. In addition to landing a successful hit, Pasian became the first Dominican to sing at the White House, and has been pre-nominated for six 2009 Grammy awards including Best Album and Best Performer.
