End of Chapter 7
****Esme's POV****
She glared at me, I think she hated me in that moment...and to tell the truth, I hated myself at that point. I just just turned her world upside down, she thought she was going to come spend time with her love...and I just turned her world upside down.
"I have to go see him." She कहा as she turned and ran into the house.
"Bella, wait." I कहा as I reached out and grabbed her arm, stopping her. "You have to know, we are doing all we can. We WILL get all three of them back to who they were."
She nodded slowly, believing that I meant it..but needing to go see Edward with her own eyes. I wanted NOTHING और in that moment then to stop her, to keep her from seeing him like that. However, Bella would not be kept from Edward..just like Edward could not be kept from Bella. She turned and looked at me before she turned, running up the stairs yelling Edward's name as loud as she could.
Chapter 8
****Bella's POV****
I knew something was up when Esme met me at the front of the house, she was leaning against the railing as if it were the only thing keeping her up. She proceeded to tell me that Edward had tried some kind of treatment on Alice..and although she didn't mention if it worked या not, she told me that Edward collapsed.
My brain stopped working at that point, I only knew that Edward collapsed...my only thoughts that I had to go take care of him like he had taken care of me before. I pulled away from Esme, turning as I ran into the house, screaming Edward's name as loud as I could.
I fully expected him to answer me, and when he didn't come meet me I instantly knew something was wrong. I stopped just outside the door to the office, the room where Alice and Rosalie lay waiting for Edward, Emmett, Jasper, and Carlisle to figure this out, figure out how to fix them.
"Bella." Emmett कहा as he moved to block my way into the room.
"Emmett, I have to see him. How is he? Edward?" I called, waiting to hear his voice, to hear that he was just fine and that everyone was over reacting.
"Bella, did Esme talk to you?" Jasper said, his eyes wide for some reason.
"Yes, she told me Edward collapsed. What's going on?" I asked, fear creeping it's way up my spine.
"Let her in," Carlisle कहा from the other side of the room. Emmett and Jasper both looked at Carlisle, neither of them moving an inch.
"Carlisle." Jasper said.
"Jasper, she needs to know." He कहा softly. "Move. Bella please come in, and hear me out before आप get upset."
Those words scared me और then any I had ever heard, those were worse then when James कहा that he had my mother. I wasn't sure I wanted to know what was going on any longer, Carlisle sounded.. strange...and I had never heard him sound so.. worried?
Emmett and Jasper parted like doors in those old western, parting to the sides so that I could see into the room. The first thing I saw was Rosalie and Alice laying on the बिस्तर where they were when I left. I didn't see what everyone was getting so upset about until I looked to my right and saw something that will be etched into my brain until the दिन I die.
My brain didn't register what I was seeing, each time I looked I saw the सोफ़ा, सोफे I saw an empty leather couch. I stood there staring at the couch, wondering what was wrong with me. I felt my cheeks getting wet, and I didn't realize I was crying until I looked at my hands. They were covered in tears, and as I stared at them they started shaking like I had never seen.
"Bella?" Carlisle asked as he moved to my side, wrapping an arm around my shoulder
I looked at Carlisle, hoping that he would clear all of this up..tell me what I was really seeing..or not seeing. He shook his head slowly as he turned and looked back at the couch. I wondered what he was seeing that I wasn't until I turned and looked at the couch, which suddenly had a person laying on it.
I broke away from Carlisle's arm, running over and dropping to my knees अगला to the सोफ़ा, सोफे which now held my true love. I put my head on his chest, tears soaking his dark brown shirt.
"Bella," Carlisle कहा as he moved closer. "We are going to find a way to fix this. आप have to believe that."
I looked at him for a second, wondering if this was all a dream या a cruel joke. I reached over and shook Edward violently, as hard as I could as I hoped that he would open his eyes and yell 'gotcha.' Yet, the harder I shook...the और I realized that this was NOT a joke.
"Edward?" I asked, my voice gravelly. "Edward, this isn't funny. Please, please look at me..please tell me this will be alright." I said, the words turning to mush as I started to sob.
"Bella." Esme कहा as she knelt अगला to me. "Bella, I don't know if he can hear you, but if he can..then आप are what he would want to hear."
I turned and looked at Esme, my glare anything but friendly. I was beginning to loose myself in my sorrow when I looked up and realized that Esme must be suffering as well. Three of her five children had been struck with a mystery illness. I reached out for her hand, smiling slightly as she wrapped her hand in mine. She walked over and knelt अगला to me, her other hand went to touch Edward's side.
"Bella, we will make this all right again."
"I know Esme, do आप mind if I stay for a while?" I asked, the tears starting to build up in my eyes.
"Of course." She said.
I think that Esme was going to say something else, but at that very moment Edward's eyes opened and he began to scream.
