This is told from Human!Oletta's point of view, because if it were actually me in Amnesia, I'd be dead before आप know it. xD Nosrsly, I mean it.
Enjoy because I actually tried a little on this~
----------------------------------
It was terribly dark all around me. The measly light from the lantern I picked up a while पूर्व wasn’t enough to calm my fears. Neither was the low glitter of dawn sun filtering in from the grimy windows. I was trembling like I caught the plague and my eyes were sore from being kept wide open, despite my body’s pleas to sleep. I couldn’t possibly sleep in a place like this when it was teeming with things- some sort of monsters- set out to kill me. Still on this constant state of alert, I approached a corner. I peeked around a threshold to see if it was safe, and much to my relief, it looked like it.
Until I heard a soft clang. I immediately jumped and let out a tiny squeak, breathing harder than I had in at least an hour. I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die, I repeated over and over in my head. I turned off the lantern, knowing what it would do to my sanity, but at least I was under the cover of darkness. Soft candlelight slightly illuminated the corridor in front of me. That was bad. On the verge of tears and feeling very tense, I looked around the corner again. There was a figure standing in the shadows of a large ripped tapestry that I hadn’t noticed. From this distance, I could see that it was casually leaning on the दीवार with its arms crossed. None of the monsters I saw in this गढ़, महल ever did that, so I guessed that whoever this was, they must be friendly. Whoever-it-was shifted away from the shadows a little ways and I caught a glimpse of a roughly over a foot long sword. I panicked in my head, but I kept staring at the mysterious person with a sword.
They eventually moved away from the hiding spot in the tapestry, and the candlelight revealed a rather tall man in what looked like golden Arabic dress. The sword, which was सोना as well, hung in a simple sheath on his waist, which lessened my fear that he was wielding it at the ready. I stepped a little और into the open corridor, unintentionally making a loud step. I again freaked out and squealed, grabbing the man’s attention. I looked at him meekly with an awkward grin. Then I noticed something odd about him which changed my expression to a confused one. Not just his clothes, but his face was also gold, with unnaturally dark blue eyes that glittered in the light. We stared at each other for a few सेकंड्स until the golden man walked towards me. I wasn’t sure how to react, so I just stood there, frazzled from पूर्व events and confused.
“’Ellos,” he कहा in a distinct French accent, “I am Stephano. Did I scare you?”
I looked around uncomfortably, screwing up my face so I wouldn’t make a noise.
“I’m sorry if I did. It tends to happen.” He laughed a little. He shook it off and held out his hand. “I’m here to help you. I’m not going to harm you. Do आप trust me?”
I couldn’t really control myself, finding a small स्रोत of comforting words in such an awful place. I ran to Stephano, crying, and hugged him. He flinched a little at my बिना सोचे समझे impulse, but he soon hugged back and rested his head on mine, being much taller than me. We stayed like that for a सेकंड before he grabbed my shoulders and lightly shoved me out in front of him.
“I need आप to keep a hold of yourself from now on. If y- settle down.” He कहा firmly after he noticed I looked like I was going to start crying again. “Like I was saying, if आप see one of those monsters, run. I can either get आप away या take them on. And if आप lose me, don’t worry. Hold on to your senses and go where आप think is best. Ready?”
“Y-yeah.” I answered briefly. He smiled and clapped his hand on my shoulder. With that, he let go, drew his sword, and then looked back at me.
“Okay, I know this place like the back of my hand. Where do आप want to go?”
