“A baby.” Lisa sat across from Hugh. “I don’t know about this.”
“Shark jumpage?” Hugh said, chomping down on a carrot.
“Maybe. I just don’t know how they plan on keeping track of another storyline that barely has anything to do with the hospital… I mean, how much do we see of Cuddy in the hospital in the first place? Now they want to throw this in the mix…”
“Well they’re only talking about it,” Hugh pointed out. “So she gets approved. Nothing says a baby will actually appear on the scene anytime soon, if not at all.” Lisa was silent. “I take it you’re against this.”
“I don’t know.” She shrugged. “I suppose it could be interesting, I just tend to be leery of anything that brings a baby onto the scene. Not a lot of shows do it well.”
“Should I be insulted?” David किनारा, शोर came up to them, holding some papers. “Here’s your new scripts for the अगला episode.”
“Thanks.” Lisa started flipping through hers immediately. “Um—wow.”
“You’re in there quite a bit, I know.” David said. “It’s going to be fun.”
Hugh reached over for his copy and started पढ़ना the first few pages as Lisa got up. “Where are आप going?”
“Oh, want to sit and start looking at this. Don’t usually have this many lines to read,” she joked, starting off toward her trailer. Hugh grinned after her and tossed the script to the side. He’d read it when he was done with the day’s scenes.
Back in her trailer, Lisa settled into her सोफ़ा, सोफे and started reading. A few hours later she stopped reading, and did something she’s only done once या twice in the entire show. She went to Hugh’s trailer.
“Hey. What’s up?” He asked, letting her in. Lisa strode past him and held up the “Joy” script.
“Last page,” she said. “Have आप read it yet?”
“No, why?”
Lisa opened her mouth—and then shut it. “You know what? Go ahead and just read the script.” She turned back toward the door, stopping when she was right in front of him and smiled up at him. “I don’t want to spoil the ending.

The अगला day, Hugh and Lisa ran into each other before filming started. Hugh hesitated when he saw her, then headed in her direction until she noticed him.
“Hey. So did आप read up on your lines last night?” She asked.
“Yeah. A दिन that will live in infamy.”
“And we thought a baby was jumping the shark.”
They both were silent.
“So.” Lisa cleared her throat. “No to the baby, yes to the kiss.”
“It’s as if the writers were spying on our conversation yesterday,” Hugh joked.
Silence again.
“Oh, this is ridiculous,” Lisa finally said, rolling her eyes. “Seriously. We’re adults. It will be an adventure. आप can’t say आप haven’t wondered what it would be like.” Hugh gaped at her. “So we’ll किस a few times, David will make some sarcastic comments, they’ll pick which shots they want to use, and we’ll be suitably mortified when we see it played back to us. This is not going to be anything out of the ordinary.”
“Really.” It was not a question. Hugh and Lisa locked eyes for a second, until Lisa sighed and looked away. When she looked back at him, his eyes were serious. “Just another दिन at the office?”
“Well come on. You’ve already seen me strip. Usually a किस comes before the striptease. Unless one of the people is an exotic dancer, and since I am of course not an exotic dancer…” she blinked slowly, watching his reaction. “Just another दिन at the office.”
