I decided to go through with this whole story today. Since this is my क्रिस्मस gift for you, I wouldn't want to keep आप waiting :)

[Later] The mood was buzzing, everyone was joking and having a grand time. The सोफ़ा, सोफे corner Hugh, Greg and Robert had occupied earlier was beginning to develop into the hot-spot of the lobby.
Lisa: I need something to drink. Anyone want me to bring something?
Hugh: I'll शामिल होइए you. Wouldn't wanna risk to sober up too quickly, right? (he grins)
This elicited an eye-rolling from Lisa and she grabbed him at the cuffs to drag him with her. They headed for the other side of the lobby, read: Cuddy's office where the bar was set up अगला to the buffet. Hugh and Lisa kept up their light banter until they had safely steered through the crowd and were fast approaching the door to the office.
All the time, Hugh was so engrossed in their conversation that he subconsciously pushed the knowledge of the fateful mistletoe to the back of his mind. Talk about Freud! Lisa pushed open the door and found herself in a room still packed with people who were simultaneously turning their heads to spot their अगला victim. A huge grin exploded on most of the viewers' faces when they beheld the couple that had entered.
The सेकंड they entered, Hugh slapped his palm onto his forehead.
Hugh: Lisa?
[She stops walking and faces him]
Lisa: Hm? What are they looking at? Do I have a stain on my dress या what is it?
David: Uh-oh, I take it आप haven't had the pleasure to meet Doris' latest क्रिस्मस prank?
Lisa (suspiciously): No, definitely not. But if she's going to tell me it snowed outside once again, I might have to kill her. या cry. Depends.
David: Then I'm really curious what आप say about the mistletoe above your head (he squints his eyes and bites his bottom lip in mock-horror).
[Lisa looks up, recognizes it and almost non-chalantly responds]
Lisa: At least that's original. Doris, you're gonna live.
[The crowd cheers and David comes out of his 'hiding']
Hugh stared at her, a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth just like before. This woman was always in to surprise him. Marvelous. He glanced at the crowd, they were all eager to witness what was coming next. Lisa turned to Hugh, now both facing each other.
बिना सोचे समझे voice: Now किस her already!
This was greeted with और cheers and laughing.
Hugh (mouthing): Okay?
Lisa (pretending to be defeated): Do we have a choice?
Hugh had just waited for her to okay this. He took her द्वारा the waist, pulling her closer to him, his other arm snaking around her hip to lock her into his embrace. He paused for a विभाजित करें, विभक्त करें second, taking a quick dive in her clear blue eyes instead of fully drowning in them and smiled. The audience was now on the verge of a mass flip-out but somehow their voices were getting smaller with every सेकंड Hugh held Lisa in his arms. The ideal kiss, he thought, when her eyes began to sparkle, her arms were set on his chest and she came to claim his lips, captivating and caressing them all in one. She tugged at and even tenderly bit at his bottom lip, surprising Hugh and prompting him to tighten his embrace and indulge in the fire, Lisa was igniting on his lips. It spread through his body, from head to toe, in no time. He lingered a tad longer on her lips than it was appropriate in the presence of others. Then they reluctantly abandoned the tickling sensation in their bodies and the numbness in their heads, only to full-speed collide with a whistling, cheering and applauding audience. David grinned widely at the sight before his eyes. Hugh was so thrown off-track that he felt his cheeks flush but he quickly tried to regain composure, let go of Lisa and turned to the audience.
Hugh: Now you've done it. I'm blushing. Thanks a lot guys...
Lisa: Anybody got a camera? I think I just found my क्रिस्मस card picture! A blushing English man, priceless.
Hugh (half-way back on his usual dry humour): Don't go getting ideas. The first किस was free because of the mistletoe. Everything from here costs आप 10$!
Lisa: If we're making a line, I'm first!
Hugh (rolling his eyes): Let's get something to drink, shall we?
The commotion slowly subsided and Hugh and Lisa made their way to the bar together. What they didn't see were the suspicious gazes and the highly amused looks their co-worker shot them. Just as if they knew something, the two of them didn't. द्वारा the time Hugh had reached the unreasonable variety of bottles displayed at the open bar, he was gradually winning back the power over his mind.
Hugh: What do आप think? White wine?
Lisa: Sure, why not? Though I take it आप opt for wine because आप either want to impress me या they don't have beer. Which one is it?
[Hugh tilts his head, slightly embarrassed and scratches his ear]
Hugh: You're never gonna know.
[Lisa smiles benignly at that remark]
