I also disagree! It may have its bumps, but it is still House! Sure, the patients don't have enough screentime, but I am POSITIVE DS and KJ will not let us down. We must not let people like this dampen our look on our favorite show!
Or, as House would say it,
ATTICA! ATTICA! ATTICA! ATTICA!
...attica?

wow yes!
i do agree it has been just alittle bit too much "Foreteen"
i'd like to see more of Chase and Cameron and alittle less of Foreman
BUT! there needs to be MORE Huddy flirting in my opinion
they said she put her life on the line and she did for him!
doesnt that count??????
++++ Cuddy isnt baby crazy! that person can say that when they get something he/she thought they couldnt have.
INSANE! this person was clearly blind! it hasnt been dissappointing at all!
i do admit that some (very few) episodes did not ome out to be amazing but it's HOUSE! its always amazing!
ATTICA! ATTICA! ATTICA!

Those points are so wrong. They need to piss off. If they dont like the show then simply quit watching it and stop complaining about it and let the other people enjoy it!

Well I do have to agree with a few of these, especially the excessive Thirteen-ness. I really do miss House and us getting to see more scenes with him as the main focus of the storyline. But overall I've liked this season, and I'm putting trust in Shore and Jacobs. From the interviews and whatnot I've read, the second half of the season should be awesome.

I disagree. This is a good season. The only problem I have is that there is a lot of thirteen. Wilson is still snarky, sure he's sad but his fricken girlfriend died. Who wouldn't be sad? As for Cuddy, she's allowed to think her adopted kid is cute. Adopted kids stimulate the release of Oxytocin too. She's wanted a kid since season 2, give her a break, plus it probably isn't going to end well for her so let her at least partially enjoy herself. Nothing ends well in this show, which is a nice change to all the formule, the good guys win all is well, the main character rides off into the sunset crap cause that's not how life goes.

And one more thing, I could care less that we don't see Cameron, Cameron has always pissed me off.

I agree with him except for the less Huddy flirting, Wilson is mopey, and I don't care that Lucas left. Other than that I agree with him. Aside from too much Thirteen the first half of the season was awesome! This second half...eh...and yeah the baby is making Cuddy kinda...I dunno it's changed her somehow. More Cameron! Don't care all that much about Chase though.

I agree that there is too much Thirteen and the cases aren't as interesting. However, "The Itch," "Joy", "Painless," "Birthmarks," and "Last Resort," had some interesting patients.
I am tired of people downing Cuddy's reaction to parenthood. The vision of being a mother is always different than the reality. She was prepared but no one can ever truly be ready for something as chaotic as being a parent. Who cares if she didn't physically give birth. It's still a huge life change that she's trying to adapt to. It doesn't help that House can be an even bigger baby than little Rachel, and that she does have a very demanding job. Of course, she knew being a mom would be hard. Reality can knock even the most prepared and skilled individuals on their butt. I mean I think that whether you give birth or adopt, the challenges of being a parent, let alone, a single parent are always hard. I think her frenzied emotional reactions are very realistic.
I also find the journalist's idea of Wilson being 'too mopey' as completely ridiculous. Amber died only eight or nine months ago in housian time. I would be more worried if he was all sunshine and smiles. It takes time to grieve especially when someone is taken away so abruptly. Anyway, he's still been snarky and fun. It would be cheap to just forget Amber ever existed. I'm glad the writers understand this.
I also find the journalist's comments about House giving up just as ridiculous. He still gets into peoples' business i.e. Searching through Thirteen's home, he still plays pranks i.e Let Them Eat Cake, Joy to the World(gift scheme) and his welcome back prank to Wilson in Lucky Thirteen. The writer of this critique really bothers me because she seems to think that a character should stay in the exact same emotional place that they were in during the first season. House should evolve. He's lost the love of his life twice, got shot, lost his leg pain, had his leg pain come back, was nearly sent to jail, lost his whole team, and nearly died again from both a bus crash, overdose of alzheimers drugs, and a risky brain procedure. This year alone he had to suffer a break from a best friend, the death of his father, and his fear of losing his other best friend to a new life change. I think it's good that he has taken different approaches in terms of the people and events around him. He hasn't changed so significantly that we don't recognize him as the abrasive misanthropic doctor that he is, but it's just subtle enough that we feel as though he could one day find some peace. I think that is great character development.

The only one that I agree with is number 8: getting rid of PI Lucas. Otherwise, I don't agree with or care for this persons opinions. For example, they complain about the changes that have been made and then complain that the show hasn't changed its formula, so they contradict themselves. Plus, they have done a couple of shows this season that have changed up the formula.

Its all opinion anyway. If you're a Thirteen fan like me, you love her screentime and her storylines. If you are a hardcore Cameron fan, you hate that she isn't in the show.

If they hadn't changed the show up (ie if Chase/Cameron/Foreman hadn't have left), they would have been criticised for NOT changing the show up. The reality is that no one is ever gonna be happy with absolutely everything on the show, but what happens, happens, and if your favourite characters' life isn't going the way that you want it, tough bickies.

Sorry about the long (and now that I read it back, quite irrelevant! LOL!) rant, but I have come to the point where the Thirteen Screentime Debate doesn't anger me anymore, but it does bore me.

AHH!!
every morning i check Yahoo for news and stuff...and when i saw this i freaked out!
House is NOT on life support!!! (i agree in the sense that its been a little hit and miss this season) and a couple of the 10 reasons (like 13 and cam/chase) but the rest aren't bad things. thats TV people! it takes time to make a story come alive, and here they are just judging not even based on the season being DONE yet. Fox knows what they're doing...they have something in the works that will make america (and other countries watching) gravel on the edge of their seats.

i have no doubts...

For the record, I'm no Cameron fan, and I can't stand 13, and I believe that is the majority opinion when it comes to her character. For some reason, the writers and the spoiler kings/queens (ie. Ausiello, Kristin) have found a comfort in blaming our Thirteen hatred on our frustration with lack of Cameron screen time That couldn't be further from the truth. I don't like Thirteen because she's a screen hogging, worthless character who was forced upon the viewers by tagging a worthy disease before we even liked her. You can't feel sympathy for someone you barely know, it's just a fact. You may have temporary sympathetic feelings, but to persistently drag a storyline of Huntingtons out for weeks upon weeks definitely takes up all the energy I have for any sympathy for this character, and that was after one episode.

It's not even that, the screen time point has been the biggest concern. She is one single secondary character, she is a doctor under House which entails being in his shadow the majority of the time. Somehow, she managed to get her own everything, story, scenes, relationship, etc, none of which pertained to House, who by the way, is the main character. It's just utterly ridiculous and that alone has put such a sour taste in my mouth.

Sorry for using this thread to go on a Thirteen rant, I just saw the point and had to address it. But, I pretty much agree with everything here. I'm a diehard Huddy shipper, but I have been extremely bitter with how they've handled this relationship. Their interactions are very strained compared to the past 4 seasons. And I hate that they've taken Cuddy from a respectable woman doctor, head of a prestigious hospital, to a moronic mess doing outrageous things to House, and he just taking it. It's out of control, and I'm hoping, praying, that somehow, House's actions can be explained in future episodes (maybe his personality change a side effect of something? Just a though), because I really don't want to admit that it's over, and that we're on the decline, but, things have been disappointing to say the least.

Before you read any of this I want everyone to know that no matter what your thoughts are about any of this stuff I am not trying to insult you. There's no bashing intended. Mostly I'm talking to myself. I don't care all that much about the points themselves, with the exception of the last one. The points were nothing I didn't expect. I'm upset with they ways in which they were presented, again, with the exception of the last one.

The only points that I agree with are less Foreman, more Cameron, but the reason I'm pissed off about this article is not that I don't agree with it. I mean, I clicked on it expecting to see 'Too Much Thirteen' as number one. I'm used to that by now. The reason it made me made was the use of contradictory statement and, in general, statements that aren't true, and because basically all it is is this person saying how much they hate the show. There's really no legitimate reason in there.

"there haven't been any super memorable cases"
They got taken hostage. What part of that isn't memorable? And one of the cast got a brain tumor. Even if you don't like Thirteen, that's not an episode you'll soon forget. Euphoria stands out in my mind and I can't stand Foreman.

"Then we could go back to the show we liked about people treating patients, not becoming them."
Okay, list your top 10 episodes. Now think about it. 97 Seconds, House's Head, Wilson's Heart, Euphoria, No Reason, Three Stories. How many of those episodes were on your list? I'd willing to bet that for most of you, at least three. Those are the episodes that we hold as sort of the pinnacle of House. For most of us, that's as good as it gets. All those have one thing in common. A main character was one of the patients, and there's at least five more episodes like that. So this statement is clearly false. Also, we'd only known Cameron for seven episodes when we found out about her husband. We'd known Thirteen for seven episodes when we found out about her Huntington's. I didn't watch the show then, but I find it hard to believe that people were this made at Cameron. The reason people dislike Thirteen is not because she's getting screentime because of her Huntington's. It's because she's getting screentime in general.

"And he didn't even retaliate against Cuddy when she started pranking him with the elevators. Who is this guy? Not the House we know and love."
Okay, first of all, they explained in the show why House didn't retaliate. Second, what about every other episode this season? This is only one episode. It's a bad example, and it's rediculous to say that House's actions in one episode brought the entire season downhill.

"they've sent Cameron off again to see ER patients and occasionally tell Foreman it is all going to be OK as long as he doesn't turn into House. That's what we call an egregious waste of an original castmember, and it's not OK, especially in light of this show becoming the Thirteen Complains About Everything Variety Hour."
Okay, honestly I agree that Cameron needs more screentime, but I try not to complain about it because I dont honestly know where she would fit into the show right now short of giving her her old job back (which Cameron doesn't want, by the way) and I think the writers are doing a good job fitting her in where they can. I mean, she just had a whole episode dedicated to her. And why bring Thirteen up again at the end? She doesn't have anything to do with this point at all.

"they've turned her from Miss Independent to a co-dependent pile of mush who can't do her job right because she's got baby brain (and she didn't even give birth to the kid) and is just desperate for House's approval that she's pulling stupid pranks to get him to notice her"
We haven't seen a single scene of Cuddy mush-ing over the baby since she got her. It's all been confusion and concern, which is natural. And again, using one episode as an example for why the whole season is bad.

"And the only thing worse than Foreman and Thirteen alone, is the two of them together"
Again with bringing up Thirteen just to insult her. This is supposed to be why Foreman has too much screentime. I'm not just upset because Thirteen's my favorite cahracter. I honestly dont' see why they have to keep bringing her up. They've already dedicated a whole point to how much they hate her. Can't they just leave it at that?

"We get that he is tired of House's antics, but he still has to do random surgeries for House when needed, so why not just deal with House?"
A, Chase didn't quit. He got fired. If it were up to him he'd still be working for House. B, there's not a whole lot of dealing with House involved with doing surgeries so I don't understand why that's even in there. I agree that it's annoying that Chase wont' deal with House anymore, but I can't say I don't understand why. C, they were just talking about how Chase knows when to suck up and when not to. He'd be an idiot to suck up to a guy who doesn't have any control over what happens to him anymore.

"Where has funny snarky Wilson who could banter with House gone? Where is the man who could call House out? He's forlornly washing mugs in his dead girlfriend's house, that's where! Come back, original flavor Wilson!"
First of all, I can't even count how many people complained when we first found out Wilson was dating Amber. Second of all, she died. He's aloud to be sad. Third of all, until this last episode we'd barely heard anything at all about Amber since the fourth episode of the season

"Aside from CTB, the only other new recent addition that we truly loved was Lucas. He was everything that Wilson should be"
I've never had much of a problem with Amber personally, but pretty much everyone I knew hated Amber right up until she died. Also, there are plenty of people out there would like everyone on the new team. Speak for yourself.

"She let a hostage-taking gunman into her hospital and then put herself in the line of fire because she was just so in love with the cranky doctor. He spends all his time pulling pranks on her and sending her mixed messages"
Cuddy didn't let the gunman in. She couldn't possibly have been expected to know that one of the hundred patients in that clinic would whip out a gun. She has better things to do than search a hundred clinic patients to see if they have weapons on them. Also, this person just got finished saying that House has basically rolled over and played dead when it comes to Cuddy, and now they're talking about how much he tortured her. They don't seem to like either. Consistancy.

"We know this show is a procedural, but they could switch it up once and a while, couldn't they?"
All this article did was insult the changes that were made. Seven of the other nine points mention something along the lines of missing the good old House and getting the show back to how it used to be. The show is trying to make changes. That's why everyone's so upset. This whole article is one big paradox. And House's misdiagnosises? How are they going to fill up 43 minutes if the first diagnosis is the right one? Sure House gets the diagnosis after misdiagnosing it several times, but most other doctors wouldn't have gotten it at all.

Sorry for the rant. This article just infuriated me
