Honestly, I wasn't as annoyed with Ron with the books as I was with the films. I think Rupert just kinda ruined Ron for me. =\

He's mainly just a source of comic-relief in the films. And in the moments when he's not the object of humiliation he's just annoying (cough Goblet of Fire).

As much as I respect Rupert Grint and as good of an actor as he is, I don't think he was the right choice for Ron (at least appearance-wise).
