हैरी पॉटर सवाल

Were there spells that would not work if cast nonverbally?

I seem to recall पढ़ना somewhere that there were spells that absolutely required our loud vocalizing in order to work.
Was this in the books, and was it Transficuration spells?

या do I remember entirely wrong and any spells would work even when cast nonverbally?

Most defensive spells, along with offensive hexes, jinxes, and curses, can be cast nonverbally. However, there is no instance of the three Unforgivable Curses being cast nonverbally.
There is no mention of Transfiguration incantations, aside from the Vanishing Spell, Evanesco.

OK, Thank you. I think it was the Unforgivable Curses that I was recalling.

Either way, I wouldn't test it

The spell which Dolohov used on Hermione in the Department of Mysteries in Order Of The Phoenix was weaker than it should have been because he'd had to cast it non-verbally.
