At first, I liked him because he was interesting. I don't usually base my प्रिय characters on how kind या understanding they are. Heck, sometimes I don't even like the characters I can relate to (although this is rare). I like characters that keep me interested and keep the story going, even if those scenes are extremely minor subplots. I liked the fact that he was very outspoken about his opinions (even if they were offensive) because when I'm not online, it's very hard for me to be outspoken about mine. When I'm not at home, even if I think an idea is really stupid, I don't say it, या I do and people always end up disagreeing with me. Which is also why I like Draco, because he voices some of the opinions I had in the पुस्तकें that the main characters couldn't seem to say. (Example: Hagrid's Blast-Ended Skrewts? TERRIBLE idea! I was surprised he was the only one to speak up about it and say it to Hagrid's face.) I am also attracted to obnoxious guys in real life, so that could play a part in it (although I proudly admit I'm not attracted to guys that mean in real life XD). I liked him even और in Half-Blood Prince, because usually in "children's movies/books" (I don't know which movie या book the line drops on Harry Potter not being specifically for children), the antagonist is usually only looked at through one side, so it was very exciting to see some complexity, and to know that everyone, even the antagonist, has another side to them, and they're not just bad "because they are". On चोटी, शीर्ष of all that, I also have a thing for obnoxious and confident guys when they actually break down and दिखाना their weakness for once (yeah, yeah, it's cliché, I know). Basically, in a twisted way I'd want to be और like him. Not in the way that he bullied everyone, but in the way that he was always confident and sure of himself and didn't seem to care that generally everyone excluding the people in his own House disliked him. When the Half-Blood Prince and the Deathly Hallows came around, I like the fact that he became और "human" and wasn't just the one-dimensional stereotypical bad character anymore. Again, I don't base my प्रिय characters on what my morals are. I just don't care about that. I care और about, Were they funny?; Did they make the scene और interesting?; Are some scenes boring when they're not in it?; How different would the story be if they weren't included?; Do I honestly like their personality, even if I only like it a very small amount?, and so on. To me, Draco made the पुस्तकें और interesting to read, and ironically enough he was one of the first characters in Harry Potter I cared about. He had/has that quality about him that makes him hard to forget. To me, interesting characterstics > moral character. That's just the way it is for me.
