Oh boy, where do I begin.

Missandei, you dumb whore. You're standing there, a step away from the edge of a building you're about to be thrown off of, literally touching Public Enemy #1. Nothing in your brain's like grab this bitch and roll out? COME ON.

Jaime & Brienne was revolting. Congrats, writers, you've ruined them both. Jaime Lannister, a man who's finally found the balls to break away from his evil sister-wife tucks his tail between his legs and runs back to her at the first sign of danger. And Brienne of Fucking Tarth, ugly-crying over a boy. WHAT HAVE YOU IDIOTS DONE.

Varys did gain a significant amount of points tonight for refusing to be a boot-licker.

Parts I enjoyed included Drunk Tormund, Game of Drunkenness, Sansa standing up for the soldiers, and dragging Jon to the Stark Family Meeting. Jon should've told them himself instead of making Bran do it, the wimp. This lovesick-for-auntie thing needs to be over like several episodes ago.

The Mother of Dragon needs to go. I've had it. The begging. The Angry Face. The stupid decisions. Making Jon become so pathetic. Handing Storm's End over to Gendry, wow, wonder what her motives could have been. (The proposal was cringe-worthy. A Girl Must Flee Now.) I hope Daenerys and Sansa meet again, because I demand a trial by combat. No dragons allowed. GET HER, SANSA. (Or Varys, or anybody really, IDGAF.)

Also: I know I loved Bronn once but would somebody just freakin' kill him before he can switch sides again this has gotten so old.

I liked some things, but meh most of it. So OK I guess.

How did Gendry went from Gendry Waters to Gendry Rivers? If I remember correctly, Gendry was born in the Crownlands and not the Riverlands. Anyways Gendry has always been one of my favorite (underrated) characters, so I'm really happy for him to get whatever she gave him, even though I know her intentions aren't good (as most of what she does).

My reaction to Jon asking Bran to tell Sansa and Arya was "You COWARD. Tell them yourself!"

Didn't much care for the Jaime/Brienne scenes, as it was clearly 100% fan-service. *sigh*

I thought Dany was gonna stab Jon several times during this episode. And if Sansa was able to kill with a look, Dany would be so dead right now. I think Sansa should get her. Varys would be SUCH a great twist though. Or maybe Tyrion will in fact betray her in the end, who knows.

SO AGREE on Missandei!! You're going to die! Just bring the fucking Queen with you and END IT! *facepalm*

I also did enjoy the drinking game and Drunk!Tormund.

I loved all the Tyrion stuff. And Sansa. And The Hound. And Arya. But wowies, a hard no on the Brienne/Jaime stuff. And so many extended shots of people looking grumpy. I feel like most of the episode was just long, long shots of people's facial expressions. Why have an extended episode? Just cut the face scenes in half and you'll have a normal length episode. Just find it bizarre that they have so much they need to cram into fewer episodes and yet they are spending a lot of time dramatically shoving a camera in people's faces.

Tyrion and The Hound saved this episode for me. And there were some funny moments in the first half. And the dragon death was pretty exciting/horrifying. Can't wait for Euron to die and die bad.

Eh, I don't like what they did with Jamie.
I’ve always liked the camaraderie between Jaime and Brienne and never saw it as anything but platonic, so when they went there I was kind of like "wait what?." It felt unnecessary.

Daenerys particularly irked me this episode. Hats off to Varys, he's right to worry, she would make a terrible ruler imo.

The little interaction between Sansa and the Hound was nice.

Episode was okay, overall. It's always been soap opera-esque but this ep in particular had that feel to it. Looks like next ep is going to be a shit-storm so I'm hyped for that.

@DarkSarcasm Lol. I didn't even think of that. Missandei could have just ended Cersei and saved the day.

There were too many parts I liked to say I didn't enjoy it. I didn't like the Jon/Dany parts, as usual. And I think they're rushing the mad Dany plotline, but I'm interested to see where that's going.

Arya/Sansa, Arya/Sandor, the Tyrion/Jaime/Brienne drinking game, Jaime/Brienne, Sansa/Dany, Euron's ambush, Tyrion/Cersei ... all wonderful.

I do think Missandei should've tried it. I know they need Cersei for the next episode but they could've had Euron or somebody stop her before she actually succeeded. Also I know she's all about peace - and killing Cersei would've spared the innocents that Dany's inevitably gonna torch next episode. Instead she endorsed Dany's decision to burn KL to the ground... it just felt out of character.

I think it's interesting that everyone mention Missandei trying to kill Cersei, I did not think of that when I saw it, maybe that's also because it's always been clear to me that Missandei is not a killer.

What irritated me this episode was actually almost the opposite, Cersei has like 50 ballistas (which she just easily killed one of the dragons with) and lots of archers, now the last dragon, Daenerys herself and all her advisers are standing in front of the walls with a few men... So basically she could just say fire and kill them all and she would have won the war... "facepalm"

It also irritates me how GoT won't hesitate to kill Secondary somewhat important characters, but refuse to kill certain ones (In this case I'm talking about Raegal/Drogon) Raegal was shot and died instantly while they were flying in a different direction, so they should be harder to hit, Euron was firing behind rocks might I add... But when Drogon and Daenerys literally flies straight towards them, they somehow can't hit???? This was beyond dumb.

This episode also reminded me of some of the unrealistic survivors of last episode... Ghost, who were charging and fighting hundreds or thousands of undead, somehow only lost an ear while everyone else fighting with Ghost died. If that was realistic Ghost would have died in seconds like Summer did back in Season 6, but no simply lost one ear.

I enjoyed the Arya and Sandor scenes here more than I did with the previous scenes since their reunion.

I also really enjoyed the Sansa vs Dany stuff as usual, that is always good. Loved the Stark meeting too.

I actually enjoyed most of this episode, except for some of the dragged out party scenes in Winterfell, don't care for the Jaime/Brienne sex scene honestly, I don't like Dany/Jon together but I do think the dilemma between them is interesting.

It's also funny, I kinda forgot that Sansa and Sandor actually knew each other, then it all came back to me.

SamusNoel picked Disappointing.:
There were a few scenes and moments I really liked, but overall I found the episode to be disappointing. Especially after how fast they took care of the Night King, I was hoping something big or crazy would come up to show more of a threat for the final episodes.

I loved the drinking scenes between characters. Great interactions aided by some comic relief.
Jaime/Brienne are my second favorite ship so I was kinda happy to see it sail, but I also felt like the flow was off, and HATED that Jaime left her at the end. Most of my friends seem to disagree, but I'm really hoping he's actually going to King's Landing to kill Cersei. Instead of D&D damaging his development even further!

I ship Arya and Gendry, but that whole proposal scene was just weird and shows he doesn't know her. Even though he should, given their interactions. Another character D&D messed up, honestly.

I can see Daenerys going Mad Queen more and more, and I'm actually waiting for it. Her decisions and entitlement are pissing me off so much at this point, that I just want to see her die. Brutally. But I don't want her arrogant ass on the throne. And her telling Jon he needs to keep the secret of his patronage is selfish.

On that note, I'm glad Jon wanted Arya and Sansa to know, but he's been a coward most of this season. And I'm really peeved about Jon's interaction (or lack thereof) with Ghost. He could have at least pet him and told him goodbye. I was so pissed with how he left Ghost. Kinda thought Jon would die before, now I actually want him to.

I like that Sansa's character seems to be staying on track, and she seems to be taking advantage of that information and I really hope something big comes of it. I like that Varys is remaining true to his where his loyalties lie, and I like that they're showing Tyrion's conflict.

So there were some things I enjoyed about the episode, but overall it was mostly disappointing. I don't know where D&D are going with this, but I hope they don't completely trash the ending...

Everything darksarcasm said except I didn't even like the Game of Drunkenness. Playing Never Have I Ever to reveal Brienne's virginity, then Jaime saying "you have to drink... those are the rules". Bloody hell it was so bad. And also Sansa implying being raped by Ramsay helped to to grow as a character. That's... pretty fucked up? How did "Heard you got broken in... ROUGH" make it through editing?? It was so blunt and weird and then they both smirk??

Brienne, who should've died a heroic death last ep, having fan-service-sex and crying over a guy. Stupid.

Jon just giving away Ghost without a pet or hug or anything, stupid.

Dany just "forgetting" about the Iron Fleet (seriously, the writers said this in the Behind the Scenes segment) ie. half her enemy's military, beyond stupid.

Euron's auto-aim for Rhaegal (3 shots with 100% accuracy into a flying dragon? Then zoom out to his face, like Pirates of the Carribean complete with a shit-eating grin) . And the bolts tearing the ships apart as if they were rail guns, stupid.

Thought they might explain more about Bran after the battle but he was literally just like "this is my favourite chair". Stupid.

Cersei somehow being the opposite of what her character is and outsmarting everyone, including the joke they've made Tyrion into, stupid.

Missandei being captured, didn't make any damn sense, so stupid.

Cutting to a different scene away from Arya and Sansa's reactions to Jon's parentage when it was one of the biggest reveals in the show. Stupid.

Sansa betraying Jon immediately, just dumb.

I can get behind a Mad Queen narrative with Dany but they'e completely shoehorning it in. It felt so cheap. STUPID.

At this point all the characters deserve to die. BURN THEM ALL!

re: Cersei not just killing everybody who came to the gates - I yelled at her for that too. But I think a certain degree of honor is expected at a parley. (Lucky for Team Daenerys, Cersei appears to have Euron muzzled, 'cause I don't imagine he'd be concerned with things like honor or public image.)

re: Ghost surviving the Dothraki wave - Jorah made it back too, and some of the other soldiers ran back on foot. Doggo knows when to retreat.

re: Euron hitting Rhaegal multiple times and not Drogon - Euron's fleet was hiding between rocks. When the dragons flew by, Rhaegal was closer, and blocked for Drogon. (link) After Rhaegal goes down, Drogon is protected only by plot armor.

Don't see why Daenerys didn't at least try to fly 'round the other way and let Drogon light up the fleet from the back, though. Idjit.

re: Sansa 'betraying' Jon - I don't see it as a betrayal. I think she's trying to save everyone from Queen Daenerys, and even though she may have a bit of spite in her motives, I applaud her for doing so. Setting this in motion is probably the best thing that happened in 8x04.

I am also pissed about Jon just leaving Ghost, and I demand a spinoff called The Wild Adventures of Ghost & Tormund.

Also, I really hope Euron has caught on to the fact that somehow Tyrion, who's been gone for a while, knew about the baby before he did... and turns on her. =D

@DarkSarcasm About the whole Rhaegal and Drogon thing, I wasn't complaining that Drogon didn't get hit when Rhaegal was shot, I was referring to after when Daenerys and Drogon flies straight towards them. But I'm not always very good at explaining myself.

Let me try again: When they shot Rhaegal down he should have been WAAAY harder to hit compared to Drogon flying straight towards them, and like PrincessTales said he hits Rhaegal with 100% accuracy like he was Legolas or Brynden Tully lol. It looked to me like they shouldn't even have been able to see the dragons and if they did then the rocks would still be in the way. It all just shows that Rhaegal has 0% plot armor and Daenerys and Drogon has a lot of it.

I think you might actually have a good point about the whole Cersei parley thing, even if I could see her not giving a fuck she has actually proven that she has honor in situations like that.

I definitely don't see Sansa's actions as betrayal either, it was clearly because she wanted to save people from "mad Dany"

And agree with Daenerys and Drogon flying around the Iron fleet and attacking from behind so the balista couldn't fire at them, but she's not the most clever character.

I think the fandom is the worst thing about this season tbh.

There were scenes I disliked in this ep. But scenes I also enjoyed. Worst episode of the season so far but still enjoyable. Every point I'm seeing brought up about despising this season can be countered. Sansa snitching, tyrion snitching, Jaime's progression, mad Dany, its all valid. It is a bit messy and rushed as a whole. Those are my main complaints.
