That dragon was too small to be some form of a possessed Daybreak.
Even so, Grace had no idea what it was doing at mainland. ड्रॅगन्स in Korham only lived in the mountains, which were too hard to climb all the way up to the top, where the nests were kept. Only in summer and spring, half way up a mountain could आप hear, see and smell every dragon colony. It was nearing the end of winter in Korham, so ड्रॅगन्स were likely to be waking up from their hibernation now. However, no dragon should have been living down in the mainlands.
"I'm not going to talk gently to आप anymore, so listen up." Grace started. "What do आप want from us? What good could we possibly be to you? We have nothing for you, so clear off. Go back to the mountains from where आप came."
The dragon gave her an almost confused look. It was either suggesting 'what did आप say?', या 'I came from somewhere else'. Grace suggested it was telling her both. She sighed heavily and decided she'd have to get rid of it herself...forcefully.
The Renya extracted water from the ground and added earth to it. She turned it into some form of mud that she would use to fight. Hardening it, it became like blades...just without any form of metal. "Disappear and never come back," Grace snapped. She threw the hardened earth at the dragon, letting it become wet and hard at different points as she threw it. It was like a blade on the end of a rope. She has added whatever weight she could to the hardened end (sharpened into an edge) to lead the rope around the dragon, trying to tell it to 'clear off'.
After what seemed like ages of using various different surrounding materials as weapons, Grace finally hit the dragon in the stomach. A small wound appeared and the black beast flew off without a thought.
Grace exhaled, relieved. She was sure her team would become injured if she didn't take care of this situation with caution. Dropping the earth and various other things, Grace stretched and walked back to camp. "It's gone, guys. You'll be fine." she called to her team, wherever they were. Earthen appeared first from out of a darkened nearby shrubbery, not looking at all relieved. He only looked like he was about to throw up.
"Grace..." he began. She showed him a raised eyebrow combined with a confused expression. "What?" she asked. Earthen didn't reply. He simply raised a shaking finger towards her, yet slightly to the left. "It hasn't cleared off..." he muttered.
Grace whipped her head around with irrupted eyes; she thought she was very direct about what she wanted with that dragon. She mustn't have been direct enough, because the dragon was still there.
It had clambered its way onto the 'caravan' Orace and Ranni lived in with their family. Something at its stomach was lighting up and it stretched its mouth wide open. A bright yellow light began to glow at the back of its throat...
आग spewed out all over the hut.
Grace forced her fingernails to glow, creating flashes of bright red and bright blue. She pulled at the आग without touching it, trying to rip it off the घर of her team's friends. द्वारा now, she didn't care bout the dragon, wherever it was; she could become guilty of murder soon.
Clicking her tongue and using the roars of the fire, sending out a sound wavelength, Grace could sense where everyone in the hut was. Orace was leading Ranni to the door, as he hurriedly tied a cloth around her face. He had left his open to the smoke and flames in his haste to protect his sister from suffocation and burning.
Finally, Orace threw open the door and he fell forwards to the ground with his sister. He panted there for a moment as Ranni tried to help him up. Both their faces and clothes were covered with ash and soot. They were filthy.
"Kouh, get them away from the fire!" Grace shouted at her captain. Half way through her sentence, he rushed आगे and took the sibling away from the burning hut. If Renya were able to sweat, Grace would have been soaked. For ages, she had been extracting the आग from the material object it was burning. She was tired; too young to extract आग as a whole, she let go of it. In a matter of seconds, the flames consumed the hut Orace and Ranni had lived in their whole life.
Grace collapsed into a squat on the ground as she panted. Even though Renya don't have any lungs, panting was a method they use to return energy to their body quickly.
Kouh dropped Orace and Ranni from over his shoulders and placed them delicately onto his own rucksack. "You're सुरक्षित now," he told them as he stood back up.
Reddie and Ula rushed over and grabbed Grace's shoulders. "GRACE, GET UP!" Reddie screamed, hasty to discover her state of wellbeing. She whipped her head up to him as she shakily stood on both her feet. "I'm fine, आप dimwit," she snapped, flicking his hand off her shoulder, "stop freaking out." Ula backed up, knowing Renya are not only annoyed when being annoyed, but also when tired from over-exercising...(as a term).
After Ula had rushed back over to traumatised Orace and Ranni, Reddie stared at Grace with his eyes looking exceptionally wet. Then he unexpectedly burst into tears and began to wail. Grace jumped.
"I thought आप were going to die!" he howled uncontrollably. He awkwardly attempted to wipe away his tears as they fell, but to no avail. His face looked like a messy flood as the flames behind him slowly died out. Grace assumed it must have been a young dragon with little fire-breathing ability.
As Reddie bawled before her, Grace realised how pathetic he really was; depending on someone who didn't even like him, expecting them to care for and nurture him like some sort of mother. She never lived up to anyones' expectations; that's why Grace had always been looked down upon and mistreated for following only her own orders. 'It's my life, so only I'M in control; आप can't tell me to do anything. It's up to me to decide whether I want to do it या not' she had always said. Not even her parents, tutors, superiors या teachers had ever taken control of her. When they told her to do something, Grace pondered over it for a moment...the answer was usually 'no'. Only if it really interested her would she try it.
That's why no one liked her.
Time to live up to someone's expectations...just maybe?
Grace let her arms pull Reddie into her chest and let him sob uncontrollably there. He slipped his own arms around her back and dug his nails into her coat. "Don't...please..." he begged as he panted into her chest.
"Don't what?"
"Scare me like that..."
"I wasn't intending to."
"I thought आप were going to die."
"Hey..."
Grace grabbed Reddie's chin and forced it upwards so he was looking at her. "I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself." Grace कहा firmly. "A little burning hut won't kill me. I'm just not old enough to properly extract fire. Alright?"
Reddie nodded as he sniffed. Grace wiped away his tears and walked away, leaving him there to think for himself for once. He worries too much... she thought to herself.
