Children love Jasmine.

Almost everyone loves Jasmine, but particularly children. My friends sort of have a certain amount of Disney knowledge and their thoughts on Jasmine are "The one from Aladdin? I loved her when I was little!"

I've changed my mind... Jasmine is frequently with the first five princesses in merchandising.

I changed my mind. Tiana is new, so not many children have seen her movie yet. Her popularity among kids is unknown at the moment. Her merchandise is strong, but it's only her movie alone. She's not considered as part of the Disney Princess group in merchandising yet. Jasmine may not have merchandise alone, but at least she has plenty of merchandise within the group.

I don't think anyone likes either of them. Tiana is a workaholic who doesn't believe in dreams or wishes, which is soooo un Disney Princess, and Jasmine is always angry and unsatisfied.

Yeah, I think since Tiana is new, they might not like her as much. I actually don't know how kids see her. I remember that my oldest niece said she liked Tiana but that was after I said I liked her. And we all grew up with Jasmine so she's more familiar.
