I already wrote my opinion of Tiana & the stupid decisions she makes

She's quite smart but more in a common average nothing special way. I love her witty comments, to me being witty is part of intelligence. However it was really dumb how she actually thought her step-mother would let her go to the ball. Doesn't she know this woman? I mean this woman has been horrible to her for years and now she suddenly acts nice to her. Doesn't she find that a little odd? She should found another way to get to the ball, that would've been clever and her gown wouldn't have been ruined. It was really dumb how she was making it really obvious to her step-family that she was the girl at the ball. Subtlety isn't her strong point. Plus it was kind of dumb to me that she didn't leave her horrible life and go to a friends house that could help her. It was revealed in the second movie that she has friends that could have helped her.

KataraLover- I don't take sequels into account, especially not in Cinderella's case because they were made so long after her first movie. And from the original movie I got the impression she was never allowed outside.
Anyway, I'm basically sticking with her because I've been voting for her. If Cinderella or Tiana leaves next (which looks pretty possible,) it will become much easier for me.

I dont know why Rapunzel is so high.

She can even tell that Aladdin and Princes Ali were the same person and she didn't know stealing was bad.
Next would be Belle.

rhythmicmagic well I do take sequels into account, except for a few because they don't try to do justice to the original. Such as Ariel's Beginning is like it takes place in some other universe. I also take TV show series into account which is part of the reason I find Ariel and Jasmine so clever.

I want to think she's smart like Belle and Mulan really she's not, next would be Rapunzel, sometimes she's very clever and other times she's very dumb

Cinderella for the same reason I commented before.

Cinderella, throughout the entire original movie and in the sequels as well doesn't do anything ultimately stupid. Sure, she doesn't shove her supposed intellectual superiority in people's faces like Belle, but she relies on wisdom and intuition whereas Tiana continuously fails on both accounts. Firstly, when a talking frog suddenly appears on your balcony claiming he is a handsome prince with tones of money you DON'T just kiss him, you run away screaming, then grab your friend who is dancing downstairs with someone who by all rights might be suspecious and not the one he says he is considering the talking frog - which is already suspecious in itself - just said that he is the actual prince. Especially considering the fact that some sort of magic/curse could be clearly involved because people don't turn into animals out of the blue, how dumb should you be to actually participate in whatever activities with a talking frog?!

I can totally understand why Cinderella would inicially hope to go to the ball - but I also got the impression when the shores were piled on her that she realized what was going on. Her stance when she tells her stepmother that she won't go is very telling. And I guess, when she got her dress, she thought that for once she might get one over her.
Either way, Cinderella doesn't really do anything particular stupid, but other princesses does. I agree with maryksand about Tiana, but Jasmine is even worse. Aside from everyone in the movie being blind (really, how con one not recognize Aladdin), how could she fall for Aladdin's stupid "digiused prince" story? She didn't even ask how it comes that he is still alive, even though Jafar told her that he executed him. That's kind of important, isn't it? And that's just ONE example when she proves to be unbelievable ready to swallow everything anyone tells her without question.

^ The thing is that Jasmine believed Aladdin was executed and was not provided with anything to prove the contrary therefore accepted it as an unquestionable fact. She knew he was captured and wasn't given a single valid reason to even suggest the execution didn't happen because she obviously couldn't know about magic being involved and that a "street rat" can miraculously escape the tragic fate. When Prince Ali arrived she was still heartbroken over Aladdin and mad at her father for trying to force her into aranged marriage therefore Ali first stroke her as yet another obnoxious royal candidate for her hand. However, almost immediately after she gets to actually spend time with him face to face and see him closely, especially after he makes an Aladdin-like gesture ("Do you trust me?") she starts being suspecious and has an idea about the possibility of it being Aladdin even though she still wasn't technically provided with any reasons to believe he wasn't executed. Maybe it took her too long to guess, but eventually she did and did on her own whereas Tiana made conscious dumb decisions in the beginning of the movie (see my previous post) on top of the fact that she believed Naveen married Charlotte in the end while knowing about the existence of fake Naveen and Charlotte spending time with him - and it wasn't her to use the logic or figure out the truth, but Ray.

@maryksand I mean AFTER Aladdin tells her the story that he was only disguised as a street rat - I would ask him (or Jafar) why he is still alive. Though I wouldn't mind Tiana going at this point either...she is the next on my list.

While I do agree it was quite delusional of Jasmine to not confirm the information that Ali/Aladdin gave her, it still doesn't strike me as stupidity as opposed to that handful of Tiana's decisions that I mentioned previously. Just imo.

Not to mention I still don't understand Tiana & Naveen's decision to go see Mama Odie after a voodoo witch doctor is the one who got them in mess in the first place. And everyone in the bayou describes her as scary and creepy. And then they just decide to just waltz up to wear she lives, and not take any precautions or go 'HEY! this could be another bad voodoo doctor as well!'
