i know i'm in the minority but Flynn isn't all that good looking to me, Eric is much more attractive in my opinion

Flynn is plain, Eric is GORGEOUS

Flynn is a CGI character. CGI automatically makes a character look realistically cute, just look at the Pixar films. Even I thought Flynn was hot once before I really started to think about this.

I voted for Flynn because of the hair and the skin. Eric is too pale for a sailor. And I don't like his eyes. *shudder*
I also voted for Flynn because his looks are AMAZINGLY AWESOME while simultaneously being funny! Eric isn't like that.

I like Eric but Flynn is so handsome, hot, cute, funny. I love his beautiful and mischievous hazel eyes that make him look so innocent and his silky brown hair (I'd love to tangle my fingers in it). Even I can't say I don't like his goatee. (I have the feeling that if I don't stop now, nearly everyone will tell me to shut up and that I'm obsessed).

^ I agree with you.I just love Flynn or should I say Eugene! He is so funny and rommantic and very brave.I just love everything about him.I think he is way better then Eric.Eric to me don't have personality like Eugene does.And also it takes him a while for he falls for a girl unlike Eric he falls right off the bat without getting to know her first.Eugene relationship with Rapunzel wasn't rushed it just came naturally like it should of course it took some time before it happened.Eric just fell for girl right off the bat and didn't give a chance to get to know her first and just turned around and married her.It just don't happen like that,to me it was rushed.Unlike Eugene relationship just came the way it should be and it wasn't rushed.After all it took him years and years of proposing to Rapunzel before she accepted.They didn't get married within three day period.It was years after Rapunzel was reunited with her parents that she and Eugene got married.And thats the way it should be.Eric to me rush too much into things.

This question is here to kill me... UGH, I LOVE them both, but Eric is just more my type, as much as I adore Flynn and think he is the hottest animated character ever. But while Flynn is hotter I think Eric is prettier.

Also as much as I love Flynn and Flynn/Rapunzel I have to note in Eric's defence that Eric did not fall for Ariel and marry her right off the bat, they shared a very powerful experience such as her saving his life and we should also remember than both Eric and Ariel were younger than Flynn and Rapunzel and such experiences at younger age tend to create stronger bonds between people. Eric and Ariel got to KNOW each other during those 3 days (while Flynn and Rapunzel had less time to spend together), they practically LIVED together developing stronger feelings for each other and I have to highlight it that Eric didn't even know that this was the girl who saved him so it was like he fell in love with her all over again from zero without even knowing it was the girl he was dreaming of and it made their love even more powerful in the end.

Flynn and Rapunzel spend more time together than Eric and Ariel, by the times of their respective first kisses. They both follow the same three day timeline, but Flynn and Rapunzel spend a larger fraction of that time together.

They sleep close to each other the first night. That's another 8 hours, if we count it.

They spend all of the second day and some of the second night together. That's another 12 hours or so.

Then they're broken apart by Gothel's plot until dinner time on the third day.

Then there's a few minutes when they're reunited at the tower before they first kiss, which doesn't add much to the total.

Flynn and Rapunzel: 10 + 8 + 12 = 30 hours, or 22 hours if sleeping close to each other doesn't count

Eric and Ariel aren't really "together" during the time Ariel is observing Eric on the ship. Even if this counts, it's at most a few hours.

It's unclear how much time they spend together on the first day, but it doesn't seem they spend much time actually together with each other before or after dinner. Less than 5 hours total, surely.

Eric and Ariel don't sleep near each other. Doesn't count.

No matter how you slice it, Flynn and Rapunzel spend more time together with each other than Eric and Ariel, by the time they first kiss the kiss of true love.

These totals remain essentially the same if we're talking about the time they almost first kiss--both at the end of the second day. However, but this is messier since Eric hasn't truly commited to Ariel over "the one" until later that night. Ah, all the more reason why I relate to Eric and Ariel more than Flynn and Rapunzel... My own almost first kiss had similar messy emotional issues and misunderstandings... I actually find Eric and Ariel's relationship more messy and dramatic, whereas I find Flynn and Rapunzel's relationship almost too perfectly synchronized. I do so wish for a Tangled sequel with a serious love triangle.

^ Interesting take on a situation. I actually agree with you on Ariel/Eric being more of a messy relationship, very complecated relationship in terms of emotional struggles whereas Rapunzel/Flynn seem to be, like you said, too perfectly synchronized, they click almost from the start (yeah, despite their first meeting being her hitting him with a frying pan on the head and blackmailing him, I think they almost instantly start working together as a team and they work pretty well as a team which is amusing taking that they had just met. I think in many ways they were very much alike and it helped them to communicate better and I love it about them) and on the first day they already touch each other, have sexual tension (like in the cave when they thought they were drawning), sleep near each other, etc. However, we shouldn't overlook the fact that Eric and Ariel had to go on a more serious emotional journey during those 3 days and Ariel spent all the time in his castle, then they spent the whole entire day together already being in love, or in Eric's case, falling in love with a "new girl" - the second day, same day when Rapunzel/Flynn start showing the romantic side of their relationship. With Eric and Ariel it were two different worlds (literally) colliding while Eric was still, in fact, in love with his "the one", whereas Flynn wasn't in love with anyone at point when he met Rapunzel and developed feelings for her. Eric on the other hand had to overcome a serious emotional conflict choosing the "real" mute girl whom he liked and related to so much over his precious dream girl with a gorgeous voice who saved him. So emotionally I think Eric and Ariel had a stronger build up than Rapunzel/Flynn, but the latter had a more well developed "team" relationship and it's great, but the emotional aspect was lacking there and left me personally to wonder how they overcome such things as her being a princess and him having nothing, them living together, Rapunzel learning about well, adult things that she never got a chance to learn about throughout her teenage years because of Gothel not letting her go anywhere. Whereas with Eric and Ariel it was pretty obvious how they are going to work as a romantic and married couple, especially in the sequel we could see their marriage in a more clear way. I always thought that Eric/Ariel story was finished but the Rapunzel/Flynn one, although being beautiful, left a lot of things to wonder about.
