	Asvini picked Yes, I started liking a character I used to dislike: When I was little the earlier princesses used to annoy me slightly. I found them too passive and as a kid couldn't like their old fashioned personalities, I was too young to get that they were just from another time and kept waiting for them to stop cleaning, stop waiting for the prince and sort out their own lives. Now I enjoy those earlier movies more. Even though I'll always prefer characters like Ariel and Belle I appreciate the early movies more and see the charm in them. Understanding why they act so differently than more modern princesses (or I would) made it easier to stop getting annoyed by it and enjoy the movie for what it is, a fairy tale :) posted एक साल से अधिक पुराना.

My biggest change was Snow White. I have always admired all of the princesses, but my least favorites have always been Jasmine and Ariel. I think I seem like I dislike them more than I actually do, lol. I would not want my daughter to act as immature and irresponsible as Ariel or be as selfish as Jasmine. And after watching Rapunzel I had to explain to my daughters that in reality you can not be so trusting and that most of the time thugs are thugs and not sweet people with dreams and that I am not just saying these things to lie to them and keep them repressed....And that just because someone seems nice and kind does not mean they are really like that....I don't mean to bust their bubbles but my girls have to learn that these are just movies and that in reality these girls actions would most likely have dire consequences...I really like Tiana because she is a hard worker and a good person and she is not taken in by Naveen right away. Rapunzel is sweet and naive and I also like how her and Flynn slowly fall in love, I just don't like the "you can't always trust your parents" message.....Sorry about my rant, I know they are just cartoons, but they do have an influence on young girls... posted एक साल से अधिक पुराना.
