This is a problem I have with not just DP, but with Disney movies in general. Nobody ever applauds these movies for their diversity, just how they aren't "good" enough or they are too "inaccurate" (seriously though, when has Disney ever been accurate?) Big Hero 6, although having three Asian characters, a black character and STILL had white characters. That's like the most diverse cast of people ever! But it's not "good enough" because the main character was only HALF Japanese. And Honey Lemon didn't look Latina.

I really agree with this. I hope parents do show their kids the movies because the movies are so good.

And I haven't really seen people not be interested in diverse Disney characters, so I personally haven't seen #2 as a problem. I think Disney DOES NOT "whitewash" at all. But it would really bother me if Disney didn't have princesses of color (and other characters too like Lilo, Esmeralda, etc.), but they do have diverse characters, and it's great. So I didn't see this as a problem, but it's important. I don't think people should be obsessing over diversity, just keep it natural and balanced. (I think Disney is good.)
